A very nice and quiet hideaway. Paved back in slots about 20’ between slots . We have been in state parks that are tighter than this. Plenty of room to back in. Did not get the pass for wash room nor the WiFi , I failed to ask for it. We walked to the Truman visitor center and down town. Could have spent two days here if we had time. If we come back through we would stay again .

Ok for a night or 2. It’s a tight fit with very little space in between units. The space that was in between, which was grass needed mowed. Never got a code for laundry or bathrooms and was moved from our original space to a space way far from the office. That was as a bummer. Would recommend if you need a stay over.

Sites are paved, level and mostly back in. Very shady neighborhood (gunshots and sirens at night) and the electrical system needs upgrades. We visited in mid July 2022 and daytime temls were in the upper 90s. Upon check in, and hook up……the campgrounds main electrical breaker tripped and caused ALL the sites to loose power. Not once…but 3 times. Finally we (myself, another guest, and the owner) had to take the main service panel cover off and place a fan blowing air on the panel to help cool the breaker to keep it from tripping. Power outage during the day is NOT good for refrigerator items or if you have pets in the rv while you’re gone. We were supposed to stay 3 days, but left after one night since we didn’t want to risk the power going out while we were not around. Yes, our generator would’ve kicked in when the power shut off……but that’s not the point. Why would I want to rely on burning fuel with a generator when I’m paying for full hookups.

Really great park for the independence area! It’s close to a train track but for passing through, amazing! Concrete pad, friendly/helpful staff, great areas for pets, and felt safe with our 1 year old. They accommodated to our plans after deciding to stay one more night! Would definitely come back if we passed through for sure!

Small RV park with most sites back ins. All sites are level and most will accommodate big rigs. However, space between sites and location of hookups is just off the neighboring site.
The trains can become annoying but for visiting the Independence/KC area location and price was acceptable. For ease of arrival follow the driving directions found on the website.

Up the hill from the rail road tracks, near downtown Independence, MO. Short distance from the unique Community of Christ spiral temple. Was here during the pandemic, so no public tours. Have been on the temple tour in the past and found it to be a peaceful place to visit.
We were in site #6, which is a back-in site on the hill above the active RR tracks. The trains run 24x7, so if you are a light sleeper, consider running fans or a noise machine at night.
Excellent T-Mobile service. WiFi was not great while we were there. Seems AT&T was having outages in the area at the time. No cable.
Near perfectly level concrete pad, full hookup with 50, 30, and 15 amp service.
Open field for playing and running around. Most pet owners pick up after their dogs, but still a good idea to keep a watchful eye.
Picnic table at every site, seems to be a composite material.
Plenty of room on the sites for slide outs and an awning.
Combination of long term and short term campers.
We are in a 32ft Class A, with toad. Room for the RV and Honda CRV on the site. They have a separate area for the car dolly to park with security lights in the parking lot.

Staying overnight in 24ft Itasca Navion. This is a little gem. We almost did not come here. It is in Independence and our GPS took us through a rough looking area. It is a short dead end street facing a nice soccer field My dachshund loved it but I really think a large dog could chase frisbees there. Very clean and neat. Mix of long term and overnight residents. Flat concrete back in pads. Some pull through. Good cell and wi fi. No cable but don’t need it. A lot of channels. Rey clean bathroom and showers but are old. Feel safe in this area walking.

Concrete pads, water & power. In campus area but next to the RxR. Not really that much to choose from in the area. Looks to be mostly long term residents. They are mostly well kept. Place needs some TLC.

Campus RV Park is in Independence, Missouri. It is just on the outskirts of Kansas City. We chose this park because we were attending a Chiefs football game. It is about 15 minutes from the stadium. We paid about $31/night with a Good Sam discount. We had excellent cell service here on both AT&T and Verizon. Free park wifi is available.
The park is medium sized and clean. We were there in our 35' fifth wheel. Most of the sites are back-in, and there are a few pull-throughs (which we stayed in). There were full hook-ups, bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. There are two large grassy areas for activities or dog walking. The park is in an older part of town, in the middle of a district with numerous churches. The only negative is the train noise. There is a yard or junction nearby and when the trains come through, you know it. It did not ruin our stay, however.
We would stay there again.
