Pioneer Campsite used to be an absolute gem. We camped there frequently. In recent years, however, it has become almost entirely a "permanents" campground and a nasty looking one at that. There are a very few overnight type small dirt sites near the entrance that are quite unlevel. It pains me to have witnessed the degradation of this once wonderful campground into something more akin to a slum trailer park.

Many seasonals here. Sites are okay but a bit too narrow or close together. Could be maintained a little better overall. Bathrooms cleaned once in a while but not kept up well in between.
