Stayed two nights. Very peaceful. Didn’t use the showers but they looked pretty rough. Sites are pretty close together but the campground is close to Itasca State Park and we were happy with that. No laundry facilities. Nice owners.

Very nice alternative to camping in the Itasca State Park. The 100% reservable campsite program in the Minnesota State Parks is quite detrimental to camping within the state park. I had reserved a campsite using the state park reservation system, only to find out by driving through, that my rig could not maneuver the road back to the site. I cancelled (with a fee) and drove over to Camp Itasca. Planned to stay one week; stayed two. Only 1/2 mile from the north entrance to the state park, 3 miles from the headwaters, about 5 miles from Douglas Lodge. I recommend Camp Itasca.

Love this place! Very nice and friendly host. The best Wifi I have ever had among RV sites. One minute outside of Itasca State Park, which is the headwaters of Mississippi.

Will definitely come back!
