We were looking for a campground in the area to break up a long drive. We're self contained and don't use the facilities except for an occasional shower. We camped here on a weeknight in August.
This is a pleasant campground. The staff was friendly and helpful. The sites are a reasonable size, spread across a large field. There are trees for shade and not much privacy. There are electric and rustic sites. There's no wifi. There's good ATT and Verizon cell coverage.
There are hiking trails throughout the park and it's 2.5 miles from the town of New Ulm.

Good trail system for those that like to hike and explore. Although this campground does not have WiFi it does have high speed internet via AT&T and Verizon LTE networks which is what I am using to write this review camped in their rustic campground.

The park looks lovely but is overpriced at $28 camping fee plus $5park fee for a one night stay. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that there is no wi-fi service, and that the GPS coordinates led us to a gated and locked entrance on the opposite side of the park. The GPS needs to indicate the east side Summit Street entrance. Also, the bathroom emitted a bad smell, and the shower room was not only very small but had only one hook for belongings, a very small uneven seat from which the shampoo bottle slid, a minimal soap tray that could hold nothing more, and most frustrating of all, the shower water was chilly and smelly.
