Stayed here for three nights the end of June in a Class C. Site 11E. The site was smaller , but had vegetation giving us privacy This site was unlevel. We never did get level , but good enough Has well marked, groomed trails for hiking in the summer and snowshoeing or cross country skiing in the winter. Clean bathrooms with separate shower rooms Showers were push button , so no control over the heat. They were a little too hot for me, but still nice. Nice camp hosts. MN has separate state fee for parks , either daily or yearly. The year starts from when you purchase it, not the calendar year like some states. Would stay here again.

This is one of the smaller and less visited state parks. It is a jewel. The trails are well marked and maintained. It is especially popular with day-trippers. The campground is wooded but like most of Minnesota state parks, electric sites are not as large or private as those with no hookups. The tent sites have large pads with pea rock fill, something we would have enjoyed when we were renters. Our site, 49, was also very muddy. Mud and puddles were an issue everywhere especially because of recent heavy downpours. We definitely plan to return.
