Had reservation at Moose Lake State Park but found it overly woody (think tick-fest), no dump station, and no water on site. We drove over to this location to use the dump station ($5) and decided to take a lake front site for $3 more with both elec and water. Host was very helpful and friendly (the good kind). Sandy/spongy site was pretty level, though fire pit was placed so chairs nearby could fall over. Picnic table was a little rough. Ice and firewood available at the office. Shower how was clean with lots of hot water. We were there Monday-Wednesday. $35/night but CASH ONLY we were told芒鈧漢mmmm. Didn芒鈧劉t see that info anywhere else. We do recommend and would use again.

The lakeside sites are large, but do not have sewers. We opted for FHU, which are on the inside loop. These spaces are smaller, though we have been in tighter ones. The electricity and water are at the back of the site - we needed extensions for both. The sites were fairly level, on gravel/dirt. It felt packed in, but it was a weekend and the place was full. Lots of families, the CG is next to the city park which has a great beach and play area for kids. Many people there seem to be from the area, lots of trailers are there for the season. By Monday many had left and the campground was lovely. Jeff, the camp host, was great - helpful and friendly. We would go back.

Big open space on lake. Lots of room for big rigs. $35/night for a lakeside spot.
