Clean sites with plenty of shade trees. Most are flat and we parked at 39E which was easy to level our 32 foot motorhome. Originally, we were going to be at 31E, however it was too sloped to get level even after using 4 blocks. Thankful it was a quick phone call to change us. The bathhouse is also clean with plenty of warm water for showers. Dumpsite and potable water also available, but not at sites. We did a beautiful and easy, 5 mile hike from our site to view Bison. Recommend for a quick stopover, but not long term as there isn’t much to do here.

We loved our stay at this state park. Our first state park in Minnesota and what a good omen. The campsite are not too close to each other and they have plenty of electricity site. The bathrooms were clean and in really good shape. I did not hesitate to take a shower or go to the restrooms. There is even a WiFi which was not bad at all. We had great cellphone coverage. The trails are fun to do and with al sorts of distance. We stayed two nights and really liked it. We would be back in an instant.

We had a fantastic stay. The sites were mostly level but the heavily shaded area made up for that. The reason I am only giving it a 4 of 5 is that the breakers are weak for 30 amp and I had to get up in the middle of the night to reset the breaker. The bison are hard to find but they are there. The bathrooms are really clean. The water source is still bad with E. coli but just come with water already in the tanks and this is a lovely place. You even get a discounted rate due to the water and get access to the Luverne aquatics center which is a nice bonus. Luverne is a lovely little town too. We would stay again!
