Camped one night w/o reservations Wed Sep 6, 2023. Nice quiet campground with lots to do on the water or hiking. Clean and spacious bathrooms/showers. Good privacy at camp sites. Easy access to MSP for urban activities, and easy access from I-94.

This was a wonderful park near Stillwater. The sites are very large and with the bushes and trees, quite private. We didn鈥檛 use the bathrooms or showers so I can鈥檛 comment on those. We had 50 amp and water at our site. The whole park appears to be well maintained. You check in at an office when you get there. There is either a $7/day entry fee or $30/year. We were only there for 2 days so opted for the daily. The park employees were very friendly and helpful. This is a no pet park,so if you travel with pets, be aware that this isn鈥檛 for you. I must admit, it was nice not hearing barking dogs.

Have stayed here many times. They have upgraded the Modern campground to Water and 30/50 AMP sites except for one small loop. And the dump station is large and well thought out. There is a nightly fee for the entire park in addition to the nightly camping fee. But nice big sites with picnic tables and fire rings. Showers are getting old. The showers and no sewer are only reason I don't give five stars.

Wonderful family park. We stayed in the 芒鈧揗odern Campground芒鈧 with electric only. Very clean with well kept grassy sites, friendly staff, miles of paved and unpaved trails. Lakes, large and small. Lots of birds and deer.
It is hard to get a reservation on the weekend.

Looks like a wonderful park and we wanted to stay here but the park was fully booked. If you are traveling in Minnesota in the summertime looks like you have to have reservations. There is no first come first served - at least not in this park. All spots are reservable .
