This campground was pretty nice. Decent price of $40 for full hookups, the spot was very tight and took multiple tries for us to back in (we are 36’ and my husband doesn’t usually have problems backing in).
Good water pressure. No problems with hookups at all. The bathrooms were great! Hot water, great water pressure, quite clean. There was recycling. Lovely nature walking trail, and right on the beach of course with tons of beautiful views.
The sites are very close together- and over Memorial Day weekend it was PACKED and some people were loud. But after the weekend people cleared out, it was great.

Found this campground to be crowded, and noisy, with few amenities. Way overpriced for what you get. Friendly office staff, but extremely overpriced, about 50% are full timers, sites are very small (just reach out and touch your neighbor).

Nice municipal campground with wide variety of campsites. Ranges from sites with full hookups and 50 amp to sites that have 30 amp and water only. We were there over 4th of July and the place was full. Lots of activity with so many people but everyone was polite and friendly. Park is located right on Lake Superior but most sights do not have a view of the lake. Short walk to Grand Marais and good launching point for hiking, fishing, and sightseeing on the Gunflint Trail. We would stay here again, maybe just not over July 4th.

This municipal campground is large, well cared-for, and about 50% full-timers. We got a small site with full hookups about 200 feet from Lake Superior via a cobblestone beach. We have an 18-foot travel trailer. Grand Marais is a great little town with good food and close proximity to several state parks with top-notch hiking.

We drive a 40 ft motorhome and tow a Jeep. They gave us a pretty flat spot with a good view and space for RV and tow. It was a pull through. I give it a 4 as it in walking distance of a wonderful little city, restaurants, and Lake Superior. We are self contained so did not use any of their facilities. Great to branch out from to go on hikes at the state parks. You need to be okay with close neighbors.

We like this town, the lake, and the cool summer weather. The campground has mostly level, or close enough to level, sites that are too small for the big RVs. They just shouldn't allow units that cannot fit on the sites...it gives the area a parking lot feel. Mostly unpaved sites, some have a minimal amount of class five ground in. Bath houses have a reputation for running out of hot water, but it was not my experience. They do their best to keep it clean, but there's no accounting for unsupervised children, of which their are many. Expect a mess. I think it is overpriced by comparison to most campgrounds of similar quality... but it's the only game in town for convenience to a truly wonderful region.

Found this campground to be crowded, and noisy, with few amenities. Way overpriced for what you get. This whole town seems to be very impressed with themselves considering what the prices are for average accommodations and less than average food. There are better places to visit.

This is not a 5 star park, it is close but not 5 stars... The bathrooms are clean but old and they do need a bit of work. The WiFi works, but only at the office. There are far too many seasonals occupping the really nice sites. The firepits are horrible. The views on the waterfront are beautiful and that makes up for a lot and is why this is a four star.nThe sites are readonably level, but if all occupied, one would be close to your neighbour. We visited in September and in May so the campground was not full. The campground is walking distance to town centre. So easy to visit the shops and restaurants of which there are many. One would not need to cook there are so many choices close by. The campground is nit secure so there are lots of people walking on the main roads in the park. That is to be expected as this is afterall a town park, so... the beach is not closed at 11:00 you will on occassion have people "enjoying" the beach area and picnic areas well into the night/morning. The location of this camoground is the four star not the facilities... A wonderful spot to catch your breath and relax for a few days looking at the water, watching, burds, boats and people!

Nice sites although156 flooded just a little from very heavy rain. Most others appeared very good. Shower and restrooms were nice, big and clean. Very dog friendly. Plenty of doggie bags around the park. Nice trails and access to the lake. Very quick access to the city (walking). Shops, restaurants, bank, groceries. No laundry in the park. There is one About a mile down the road attached to the Napa store. Nice car wash next door if your rig needs a quick hosing down. Internet is pay only. $4/hr, $15/day, $25/week.
