The state park is a gem and worth the fine reviews. We really enjoyed the lake and the paved bike path that stretches all the way into Bemidgi. The campground, on the other hand, is a dust bowl, that fine sort of dust that forms clouds as people drive or walk by and gets into everything. We loved the State Parks in Minnesota, but this one was a one-time visit.

Really top notch State Park. Stayed here this past summer and stayed again early October for the Blue Ox Marathon around Lake Bemidji. Electric sites are a little inconsistent on size, access and contour but the park is beautiful and not crowded. Nice "late season" option for camping.

Best park in Bemidji! Great individual showers & family showers. Trails, bog walks and tours. Easy multi-camper sites. Good fishing (Muskie, walleye & northerns), swimming beach and other activities. Beautiful year around!
