We had lot 136, there was plenty of space for our 30 foot fifth wheel, with a large awning and a large slide. We came during the week and paid $66 a night. We were a short distance from the beach, short enough to walk. The beach was a bit rocky mixed with softer sand, going into the water could be a challenge because of the stones I recommend water shoes. Also it was very shallow ankle to knee deep for as far as you could walk so not great for swimming, but the view is absolutely beautiful.. everything was very conveniently located, the ferry to get to Macau Island and Mackinac city are just a short drive away.

This is a hard campground to review. There are pros and cons, but for us the goods outweigh the bad. Pros - the location is great as it is very close to the ferry providers that take you to Mackinac Island. The CG has great waterfront views/sites of the Mac Bridge and Lake Huron. The bridge side has a very nice park area with lots of benches and firepits nestled among grassy areas and trees that look out at Mac Bridge and the lake. We enjoyed a spectacular sunset over the bridge here. Our site was a waterfront Back In with Electric and Water with great view and nice trails up and down the lake. The site was mostly private and roomy due to lots of trees and foliage all around us. Staff was friendly, and the park store was great. Pool area looked nice and clean. Bathrooms were old, but clean. Cons - This is a huge and confusing CG. Getting in and out can be a challenge, as there are so many twists and turns to the various camping areas. You can get lost trying to find the bathrooms. The showers are old and provide no privacy. One of the biggest negatives is that almost all the sites are dirt mixed with a tiny amount of gravel. Makes for a very dirty site, along with all that dirt coming in and out of the camper. We were there with rain, and that makes things very muddy and messy throughout the whole CG. Most of the FHU sites are crammed close together and can make putting multiple slides out a challenge. All in all we enjoyed out time here and ultimately would return.

The only thing this camp ground has is location. Everything is worn out and the showers are divided by shower curtains only. No privacy at all. If you like to use the park showers don鈥檛 come here.

The campground is truly beautiful and huge. The only problem we found was that Alstays has a 3 dollar sign and the only way that applies is if you are tenting with no electric or water. Any Rv will pay 5 dollar signs or more. Saw some large 50 amp sites with lake views at 10 dollar signs for a nites stay. If you don鈥檛 mind that for a nightly campsite you will not be disappointed.

We stayed here for five nights in July 2022.We had a nice back in site with privacy on three sides. It was comfortable to eat out under the awning and on the picnic table. Beautiful park with a lot of waterfront. It has been added to recently we understand. It is a huge park with confusing roads- thankful for the extra signage.Although they list Wi-Fi as available, we never got it to load one time. And we only had one bar on LTE - ATT. No cable but we got two !! channels on TV.

There isn芒鈧劉t a campsite in this place that we wouldn芒鈧劉t be happy with. It is an old enough campground that there is nice screening vegetation between sites even when they芒鈧劉re close together. Cabins look rustic but fun; we芒鈧劉re in a small RV so don芒鈧劉t know for sure. Excellent camp store, pool, playground, and a lot of lake front, including a protected sandy beach. Kid and dog friendly. Weak cell service, but that doesn芒鈧劉t bother us. Free shuttle to Mackinaw Island ferry works well. Bikes to get around the place are helpful. The beauty of this location for such a big campground is unique. We will certainly be back.

A lot of potential to be great. Huge ding for no laundry facilities. Had to go to laundromat in town, which was very overpriced. Cell service for Verizon and AT&T very poor. WIFI is also not great. If you need Internet for work be forewarned. No cable for TV. Views of lake and bridge are amazing, if you can get sites by the water. Other sites without view are okay. Mainly gravel sites with trees/bushes separating each site.

Campground, restrooms and showers very clean. Camp store well stocked and very well run. We camped along the lakeshore. All sites are separated by trees and seem well-maintained. Price for full site on the shore (water, electric) was very reasonable at $30 per night. Definitely recommend and plan to revisit. They also offer free shuttles to the ferries that leave Mackinaw City for Mackinaw Island.

One of the best campgrounds we have stayed out. So large you芒鈧劉ll get lost. Lake side park and sandy beach. Great view of Mackinaw bridge, straights, and island. Plenty of amenities.

This is a great campgrounds!. We stayed there the last week in September so most of the family crowds were gone. The sites are situated so that even though there are neighbors, there is so much foliage between that you feel private. It is close to downtown Mackinaw city ( 2 miles). They provide free shuttle service to the ferry to Mackinac Island. The only very minor complaint is that trash cans are all up by the office, so we had to either hike it or drive it out. Not that big of a deal honestly 冒鸥陇路芒鈧嵜⑩劉鈧嘎 We are already planning a longer stay next year.
