The gravel road in is reasonably smooth. Sites are nicely spaced for privacy, mostly level, with shade. Pit toilets were clean-ish. Very quiet, peaceful and only 1 other camper when I was here. Sign says pack trash out but there is a small trash can by the entrance. 2 bars T-mobile. The trail has a sign saying closed for erosion and wildlife protection a short way along it. There is now a $16 fee, $8 with an interagency pass. Bring mosquito repellent!

This place is very nice. Very basic. No services. Gravel road for 3 miles. Clean when we went through. Price is right. Just think about camping here during high fire danger. There’s lots of un-burned fuel surrounding the campground. Don’t know if Kenton RS will get to you before you have to jump in the river.
