Tough to generate a five star review through no fault of this park. Stayed here May 9 which is way early for this part of the country. Had rained buckets for two days prior to our arrival and was 36 degrees and still raining when we arrived. The park has gravel and grass level sites with utilities properly located. Problem was r The level terrain did not drain well and many sites were unusable. The attendant was helpful in going one that would be OK. Ona good summer day this park right on the lake would be terrific.

Stayed here on a lark because we passed the camp in Escanaba. Ended up staying 2 extra nights. Great camp and facilities! Everything was clean and well maintained. Town was just a short bike ride away. WiFi was a little wonky but decent. We stayed in an electric only site, so my only “complaint “ is the lack of water spigots in the no water area. There’s a potable water connection next to the office, to charge your onboard tank though. If you don’t have one, bring a water jug. But it’s definitely not an issue.

Very nice surprise. On the water, clean, attractive and pleasant staff. Full hookups and strong wifi. Parks are finally starting to see how important wifi is to customers. Clean showers and hot water. Bicycle available for use to ride along the bike way.

A love letter to Gladstone Bay campground: Dearest GBC, we arrived late, but found a spot near the water. Your showers were free and hot, the bathroom floors were heated, and your hand dryers make great hair dryers. Your wood bundles came with newspaper and kindling, and your camp host didn't bother us. Lastly, you have free water hose for us to fill our tank tomorrow. I'm clean, warm, quenched, and the sound of crickets and small waves lapping at the shore will lull me to sleep. All for $15. Thank you.
