If you like to RV with your pets, this is not the place to go! Was constantly harassed even though my Huskies do not bark. Tried to exercise them while riding a specialized kickbike for just that purpose, Was told I could not do so in the park. Site was so small that to hook up my sewer hose it was onto the adjacent lot, Cannot use slideouts without contacting awning of next site. The management drives around all day and harasses campers for a variety of reasons, No campfires or outside lights after 11pm. Bath and showers are nearly 1/4 of a mile from campsites down an unlit street to the park entrance. Ticks were terrible as well as mosquitos! They do not spray or otherwise use any intervention. The harassment by staff and the crazy rules make this more like a stint in a prison camp than camping. Look at some of the reviews on thier Facebook page that state the same thing. Late June and place was 2/3 empty! That was the first red flag. The "you better clean up after your dogs or you will be asked to leave" was the second. It only went downhill from there. Left 2 days early as we had had enough. Went home to unwind. Yes HOME to recover from the nightmare . They also have a scam where the electric hookups are nearly 50 feet away on certain spots. Then they sell you an extension cord for 75 bucks. Same item at Menards is $39.86 and they have the nerve to say they do not make a profit on them! It is a shame as the park is located in on of the most incredible spots on Lake Huron. Such a waste that it is so outdated for site size and that the staff is so inhospitable to som,e campers. They alsotried to run my credit card for the rest of the stay while we were still enroute. Luckily Lifelock notified me as it was an out of state charge and i did not allow it. Contacted Michigan Consuner protection as that is not legal since they have the deposit and I did not authorize further charges. So beware. They did this to another camper and also scammed him on the cord as well. Continuously harassed him about his motorcycle being to loud as well even though they ran lawnmowers and the Gators around all day that were louder. That couple also left 4 days early and this place will not do any refunds..PERIOD! Even if you leave for an emergency or health issue. This is by fasr the worst campground I have been to in more than 35 years of RVing! I asked if they had any Veteran Discounts and the reply was."Why do all you veterans always ask that ?"

This is by far the best RV park!!!! The camp host was awesome! The park managers were like family. We stayed for 3 weeks, so they became familiar with us. First name basis, and even knew our dogs name! So impressed with the hospitality and knowledge of the area. Rob and Cathy are the best. Made sure to come and say goodbye with a hug. Trimmed branches to help our big rig and trailer to fit in the pad they had for us. Came out and made sure we were doing ok. I hit a deer while we were up there and they asked if we needed a ride anywhere and gave us numbers to rental places. I absolutely recommend going there! We actually plan on mailing a thank you gift because we were so impressed!!!!!!
