SWC is the consummate campground for enjoying a wilderness experience in maine. While clearly not for everyone, the campground and facilities are clean and serviceable. The owners add to the charm with great stories and local knowledge too. If you really want to get away from it all, this is your paradise! Horseflies and primitive roads separate the nature lovers from the posers!

Great campground. Been coming for years. It is remote and great for getting away from it all. Good spots on the lake. There is a schedule for power because of a generator running everything. So you won't have power all the time which is kind of weird.
