This campground is a hidden gem on the east branch of the penobscot. It is within reach of Baxter and several points of varied interest. There are only 2 full hookups and poor cell and wifi reception. However, the grounds are quite with the river access being the big attraction. I'll be back!

Stopped here for overnite , wished we could have stayed longer.
We had a level site with electric and water, it’s rustic in pine trees on a river, people floating or canoeing. Very peaceful plus a nice camp host. Will stay again if ever in this area.

Really enjoyed this nice park. Great owners and hosts. The host helped me get my kayak down the short bank to the water. The free kayaks and canoes are a great perk. I had a waterfront site which was very relaxing. I stayed four days. I will be back and stay longer.

Very nice. New owners Katy and Jeff are working hard on improvements. Sites need some leveling but are acceptable. We had pullthru site 32 in center with 30 amp and water. Easy access. River sites are smaller but sunnier. Free use of canoes and kayaks. Hosts will drop tubers off up river but you have to buy the tubes or bring your own. River is very clear and clean with rocky bottom. Good area for tents with access to large picnic pavilion. Bathrooms very clean. TV/game room very comfortable. Lots of videos available. Would give 4 stars if campground had 50 amp and if dump station was improved. Overall very good and we would return. We have a 38 ft coach.
