Great place located a short distance from Acadia. Every building seemed new it was so clean. Lots of fhu sites with shade. The pool is an added plus.

This is a very fine campground. One of its strengths is how well staffed and managed it is. Also very plain that they are reinvesting in the facility. Showers, laundry, etc. look brand new. Something really should be done however about the sewer smells that cover a large section of the campsites. It's pretty revolting at times. From reading earlier reviews it appears that providing sewer hookups to more sites was done in the last two years.

Park is new. All roads paved. Sites gravel and very even although some are on a grade( bring blocks). This is cleanest park I’ve stayed in over 19 years of full time traveling. Staff friendly

August 2024, they tell me this place is 55 yrs old, 3rd generation, but it looks brand new. They replaced everything and built a new office and bathhouses two years ago. They really keep it clean. Super-friendly staff. If you are visiting Acadia, I definitely recommend this place. Call to reserve your site the day they open them.

Stayed July 2023. This park is much improved since our last stay in 2021. Roadways are now paved minimizing dust and mud. Only a few sites have sewer service, but this time we had a full service pull through site which was very nice. As others have commented, this is a good base for exploring the area; the shuttle is helpful but I wish there was Uber or a reliable taxi service available.

Spent nine nights here. This was our "visit Maine" basecamp. We had one of the few full hookup sites. Most don't have sewer but they have a pumper truck that comes around for a fee. Our site was a pullthru making it easy to setup. One of the quirky things was that our sewer access was in our neighbor's area near their picnic table. One of our neighbors ran over our sewer hose while attempting the pullthru. We thought they were a little pricey on amenities such as the laundromat, ice, etc. A great feature is that a shuttle to and from Bar Harbor and Acadia NP stops hourly at the campground. Believe me you don't want to have to park in Bar Harbor and the shuttle takes a care of that. The campground is well run and has plenty of staff ready to respond to needs.

Great campground! Close to Acadia National Park entrance and visitor center. Very friendly staff and quiet setting. We would highly recommend this campground.

Not for me. They parked us in a field. Uneven ground. A smashed cookie on the picnic table. Was a mess. $52 for a spot in the open field isn’t my thing. Water and electric made it worth a fraction of the cost. Wifi was better then some places I’ve been at.

OMG 50Mbps download, 33Mbps at 8PM WOW! Warm 7 min clean showers for 75 cents, nice laundromat, quiet, helpful start, $42/nite weekday in September for 25 foot Class C wit 30 Amp and water. Only minor complaint was spot quite undeveloped compared to prior 45 travel days.
