Campground is clean and while no services at the site, table and fire pit really great well kept. Sites are tight for 30ft fifth wheel so have to be on the 鈥淎鈥 game getting it in. Some sites are much bigger then what we had chosen but really well sized once set up. We will definitely be doing again!

Beautiful place, level sites, easy access. No electric, and we knew this going in. Generator hours well defined, yet some ran their generator outside those hours and no one (yes, there were two onsite hosts) asked them to follow the rules. No showers, so plan accordingly Bugs not bad, and we saw a days old fawn and mom near the campground.

Loved this campground. Well maintained and large camping areas. Lots of trees and somewhat private as well considering how many camp sites are present. We tow a 24 foot trailer and would caution those with larger trailers to be cautious. A couple of the turns in the campground are very tight. We enjoyed being on the 芒鈧搎uiet side芒鈧 farther away from Bar Harbor. Still plenty to do and see and great places to eat as well. Would have liked at least electric but knew it was primitive before arrival. Generators were allowed even tho very restrictive on hours they can run. Over all we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this campground.

We loved this campground in September. Wonderful tiled bathroom was always clean. Rangers were incredibly helpful. Our site was big and very private. The location was great for us. We had planned to stay for a day or two and stayed for a week.

Do NOT stay here if you plan to spend a lot of time in the Bar Harbor area, which is the center of all activity. The drive back and forth from the campground to Bar Harbor is a miserable journey.

Camped in a small RV. Nice sites, good base for exploring Bar Harbor. With an RV, height clearances make it impossible to see the park. You'll need a car or take a tour. Wooded sites, great water! Be sure to fill your tank before you leave.

Beautiful campground, 10 minute or less walk to the ocean, very dark at night. Heavily wooded with quite a bit of privacy at each site. Plenty of water spigots and good dump stations. Great place to camp!

Reservations must be made early. We arrived before opening at 9am and we were lucky to get 2 days due to a cancellation. Keep trying as cancelations often happen. You need tour own transportation because the buses are time consuming and do not run before 10am. No showers, shaded and fair separation. The area is very touristy and crowded n July. Blackwood is more central to most activities.
