Terrain is hilly, but gravel sites well spaced out & level. Heavily wooded, but easy to back into sites. We were only there to visit nearby relatives, but park has nice amenities making it a good destination. Note sites are electric only, but potable water is available (fill before setting up) and there is a dump station on the way out. Stayed 3 nights in mid Sept. with 30’ 5th wheel. Many sites are big enough to fit in slightly larger size, even though State says 30’ limit. Check directly with park. One note: park entrance gates are closed and locked at sunset, although campers are given lock combination. Later returns to CG require manually unlocking gate & re-locking once passing through. Minor inconvenience unless pouring buckets (it was).

Very nice MD state park. Nice big sites with a lantern post and electric. No water at the sites but there are numerous water spickets near by to fill up on your way into the campgrounds. Pets are limited to pet approved campgrounds and nowhere else in the State Park. We loved it and the kids picked wild raspberries for pancakes in the morning. The beach at the lake is soft and sandy, perfect for young children. Each site is secluded from one another as well.

Nice big well used State Park. Note that no sites have water. Fill up first.
