A nice park. We enjoyed a brief two nights while checking out t he threshermens rodeo. We visited in the summer of 2018 and our site was a little muddy. Not a big deal. It was difficult to determine where to park on your site and the lots are not well delineated. The park is well named. The sites were shaded by oaks.

We were hoping to get as far as Brandon but we're too hot and tired to continue driving. So we pulled in to this privately-owned campground around 5 on a Friday evening. Because it was a weekend and a local 'threshers rodeo' event was happening, there were exactly two small spots left. We snagged one of them and were glad to get it. Lots of big rigs here and many families so lots of kids. Large groups gathered in various area about the campground but all were respectful of noise, etc. Pool was open so we had a quick refreshing swim before closing. Our site had 15-amp electrical hookup and water. Showers were coin-operated ($1 = 3 minutes) so you had to be quick! Given drought conditions many places this year, this is understandable. But the shower facilities were pretty rundown ... definitely could be cleaned up and given a fresh coat of paint at least! Great location along the Trans Canada. Lots of trees which helped with the heat. Used the pumpout at the exit which was not well set up. It was impossible to get our trailer on a downward facing slope to properly empty our tanks due to lack of proper grading. Also there was no water tap or hose for washing down the pipe, or spills or flushing the toilet, etc. Luckily we have an outdoor shower on that side of the trailer and we're able to use some water from our reserve tank.
