Inexpensive, large spots, (loud when airplanes fly over). The spots are mostly level, pull thrus for RVs! Very friendly welcome. Just off base, address is 499 South Rd. Bedford, MA Office is not at the beginning of campground, but just follow the road around the perimeter. Must have base access, vehicle registration, pets rabies certificates

Easily accessible big rig sites, full hook ups $26. Bike trials nearby, Boston subway 30芒鈧 away. Base facilities nearby. We would stay here again.

This is a great place to stay in the Boston area. No reservations but host says they have never turned anyone away. It is close to the runway which has military and civilian planes. Noisy but they don芒鈧劉t seem to fly at night. Easy to catch the T into Boston from the area and park your Truck. Lots of history in the area. Full hookups with pad and table. Parking is gravel. No internet but WiFi near the clubhouse. We camped with a 40 ft fifth wheel. Lots of big rigs.

May 2018 in a 32芒鈧劉 motorhome: this famcamp has reasonably spaced sites and there芒鈧劉s enough room for your mat and awning and to park your tow. There is no cable and the wifi was not adequate. We arrived the first day of the season and it filled up quickly within a couple of days. The check in process was a nightmare because there were a dozen or more of us waiting to check in and we were not allowed to go to our site until we completed the registration which involved showing rig registration, insurance proof and proof of rabies vaccines for pets causing a backup while people dig through their paperwork and a traffic jam of rigs芒鈧漞xtremely difficult to maneuver around those still waiting. This literally took an hour. The camp is directly next to an airfield but, although aircraft activity was frequent, it was not particularly bothersome, the aircraft being mostly small. The showers were kinda old and grody and I wouldn芒鈧劉t have used them. The laundry was very reasonable芒鈧$1 each I believe. The day before we left, we went to the office to arrange for propane the next morning and discovered a notice that the hosts would be gone for two days so we had to leave w/o a refill. Overall, there is nothing special about this famcamp except it芒鈧劉s proximity to Boston. If you love Boston, it芒鈧劉s an okay place. Bring your paperwork.

Physically this is a nice campground. good location close to boston and public transportation.

We stayed there last fall. The host and hostess were very unfriendly, especially the hostess, who also works in the office. VERY cliquey.

They talk about other campers behind their backs. very bossy. came right into and thru our site with her dog almost every day. she invades your privacy almost daily with her clipboard in tow.
complained because I hung a wet towel off my awning to dry in the sun.

The campground is nice but this hostess was just too obnoxious for me to consider going back.

Nice place and will go there again. Had spotty wifi but they had it. On the side for an airfield but my husband and I barely noticed. Convenient to Boston and historic sites. Definitely listen to the camp guide and take the subway to Boston. But dont try and use it on a Monday you will not find parking in the lot.

It is a community of homesteaders. There are 3-4 spaces available for those passing thru. There is construction going on that will add several full hook ups but target date for completion is fall of 2015.
The park has so much potential if it were managed. Perhaps that will happen but for now, any rules there are seem to not be followed.
The spaces are an adequate size for RVs with a nice concrete patio.

Loved this campground. Absolutely great especially with all the aircraft--just made it ultra cool! Friendly, helpful staff. Gorgeous area; easy to anywhere.

The best miltary campground I visited. KOA quality with excellent facilities. Nice boardwalks make it easy to make a short walk to an almost private beach next to Oceana NAS. No wifi, but a facility is nearby with access.

Another rare FamCamp that has excellent wifi service within your camper. $22 per night with a minimum two night fee. Must pay the two nights if you reserve your site. Full hookups conveniently laid out. Large concrete pads to park your camper on. Nice bath house with showers. Personnel were very friendly and helpful. Bethany Beach is an excellent beach hound area with a boardwalk and lots of stores to browse. Beach access is a short drive from the Famcamp. However the Bethany Beach community charges for parking in the beach area, which can run your costs up considerably.
