Stayed from January16, 2023 for two weeks at site 11 in a truck camper with kayaks. Site has changed some from last time as they have thinned out the woods. Good lake view from all the sites in this area other areas still have some view but not as good. Roads all paved with sand tent sites and table, grill and fire pit. Camp hosts helpful and keep sites and showers clean. Good MIFI with all carriers. Locked myself out of camper had to call Shreveport for locksmith cost 450$. It was Sunday evening. Electric pedestal had problems and was blowing fuses. Staff came and fixed it. Found gym Toledo fitness in Many for 10$ per visit small but adequate about 20 miles. Keep Kayak on sand beach and had good paddles either direction. Both loops nearly deserted two weeks I was here. Could have stayed longer. Excellent distance between sites better than most places. Some hunting in area so occasional gun shots. Minor complaint about how far you had to go to empty trash. No bins close to sites.

Gorgeous tall pines, beautiful sunsets , beautiful lake, well-kept sites and facilities, and quiet. The camp ground employees and camp hosts were friendly and welcoming. The sites are roomy with space in between. We started out planning to stay two weeks in Nov. and stayed a month and a half, thoroughly enjoying our view and our campfires. This place is a gem. But then maybe I don’t want to tell you all about it. It could get real crowded. Lol

Stayed 3 nights Nov. 19-21, 2021 loop A site 11 in a truck camper with kayaks. Site blacktop, level, l end of loop with woods in back and short private trail to lake. Site is spacious and little noise from campground filters over. Lake good paddling with the exception being watch out for stumps in flooded areas. Campground seems well maintained although I did not use facilities. I really didn't check the cost but was pleased that they gave me the senior half off even though I am not a Louisiana resident. This state is good about that. Good AT&T and Verizon reception. No Dish reception through heavy tree cover.

Stayed here in April on our way to TX. Campground has two loops.
All sites are paved and easy to get in. Loop A has many sites
close to the reservoir. Very friendly at the gate/ranger station.
Bathhouse needs more frequent cleaning. Would stay here again
