We loved our stay here. Beautiful, peaceful, lots of shade, plenty of pull-throughs. We got there during office hours so had no issues checking in and getting the gate code. It's an extensive park and we enjoyed exploring on our bikes. We stayed there Oct. 5 and it's an excellent time of year -- warm days and cool nights. The water views are simply beautiful. It is an older park, so sites can be unlevel, but ours wasn't bad. Plus 50/30 amp service and water. Since we were there during the week, it wasn't at all crowded. We'd definitely stay again.

paid for site #57 online, we called the day before arriving to get the gate code and were advised someone will be at gate till 4:30pm so will not need gate code unless arriving after 4:30pm. We arrived at 2:45pm and no attendant was at the gate with a sign "Pay at automated gate" (frustrating), had to pay additional $7 on credit card to get through automated gate, campground loops and sites are very POORLY marked, we had to drive through all the loops a second time to find our site (frustrating). We reserved a premium waterfront site, so we were looking for a nice, long, level concrete pad with a scenic water view, unfortunately it was short, very narrow and horribly not level. Lots of pickup trucks halfway on the narrow park road made it difficult to stay on the road and not scape those trucks. Our site was very unlevel - needed eight plastic leveling blocks under each axle on the low side and still not level. I was able to connect to the campground network, however there is NO internet (frustrating). Never saw a park employee anywhere. I get the feeling that no one here cares about this park. I will definitely not ever stop here again.

BEAUTIFUL park! Friendly campers. This is a popular campground, but worth a visit! We stayed in January, and the weather was perfect!

Plenty of room at the park. However, staff is rude; bathrooms were not clean; day after holiday and non of the toilets worked. Staff avoided the bath house all day; showers need to be updated; very loud and busy park.

Beautiful campsites. Plenty of room so you don't feel crowded. Even saw a gator in the lake behind our site this morning!! The only reason we didn't give it a five was because of the narrow roads throughout the campground loops. Will be back if we travel this way again!!

Beautiful Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry CG. Almost every site has a view of the lake. Was here for a triathlon 12 years ago, forgot how beautiful it was. Will definitely camp here again.

This is a well kept campground with a large beautiful lake.

Very nice area. We stayed in a 26 ft motorhome. We only stayed one night but if we are ever back in the area we would stay here again. Also it was pouring rain when we got there and most of the night. Didn't get to enjoy the park, but the sites were level.

Great place, most sites are level, we stayed here in a 40 foot motorhome. Quiet, nice views of the lake,
