This campground has been closed since it was damaged during Hurricane Laura in August 2020. I recently heard that they received funds for repairs and it is under contract now. Hopefully it will be back up and running soon. It always was a beautiful area to camp.

There were no reservations available at the campsite – first come first serve. When we got there and heavy rain, the gates were closed and said campground closed, although there was nothing about it on the fourth service website or on all stays. Had to end up going further at a state campground. I’m an ex for a service employee, and to me, this is inexcusable.

Kincaid has far more than primitive campsites. 40 or so full hookups at this NFS Campground. Lake , picnic area, fishing piers, beach area, and a playground round out this lovely campground, not to mention several hiking trails around the lake and connecting trails to the Kitsatchie National Forest ‘Wild Azalea Trail’ We spent a wonderful, quiet weekend get away there in late February of 2020.

The electric sites are fine, half are close to level. Showers are short push button so you’ll need to keep one hand on the button to get a decent shower. Primitive site are not worth any money and should be free because they have only 3 picnic tables of the 30 or more sites and no fire rings.

Very nice and well kept campground. They have dispersed sites here that are $5/night but we stayed in a site with hookups for $15/night. They have double sites for $20/night too. Campground is well maintained and the host is very nice. They have a playground for kids, bathrooms with running water and flushing toilets and showers! They have a boat ramp and picnic area along with a fishing pier on the water. Very peaceful on the water.
