Recently reopened after a hurricane. Sites are all new with full hookups. Concrete pads are all level. VERY close together. No trees or shade in camping area. We were here for one night in February 2023 so welcomed the sun. Bathrooms were nice. Verizon cell service good.

Nice campground. Lots of woods. We usually try to stay in only state parks. This one has a lot of tails an a lot of trees that’s what we looks for. Stayed here 4 days convenient to all stores an site seeing. I would stay here again

I paid for two nights only stayed one. I am surprised no one mentioned the power station by the campground that makes noise continually and all night. Between the deep annoying hum of the machine and the all night road noise I packed up and left first thing. The bathroom and showers are nice.

Great park! Loop 1 is closed now so no worries on roads and tight spaces. Big sites, trees, fire pits with plenty of downed wood to gather, and lots of animals around. Watch out for gators

Stayed in loop 2. Many tall trees and shade. There is a nice playground behind site 37. WiFi is available near playground and showerhouse. Free laundry is nice. Be sure you get a site that fits your RV., some sites are tight between the trees.

Loop 1 (sites 1-22) has both tent and RV sites and is on a tight dirt road. Fine for our camper van but RVs have a tough time of it. Bath house is closed in loop 1 and there's a portable trailer that's pretty run down. Loop 2 is mostly RVs but the bath house has good showers and is better than loop 1. Great disc golf course! And close to town. Decent park, but loop 1 definitely needs some TLC.

This is the tale of two parks. There are some reviews that speak of narrow dirt roads that are tricky to maneuver with a big rig. That is true. That is loop one. However, there is also another loop that has paved roads and pads. It is still tight, but manageable. Also the second loop has free internet and free laundry! PLus it is in a large park with frisbee golf and many hiking trails. Also it is less than 5 miles to a small town with Walmart, etc. It is a quiet park, but could use some TLC on loop one. Having said that, I noticed that they are clearing a large area near the front of the park, maybe for a new loop? I would stay here again. We camped in a 30 foot travel trailer.

Very pretty park! It is on a bayou and you will find a nice boardwalk and trail to view it better. Boat ramp to the lake. We got there late and had a bit of a hard time finding our site, but asked the camp hosts and all was well. People were friendly, it was quiet and enjoyable. Easy to get to from the highway.

Have stayed here a number of times. I have enjoyed the companionship of staying with a group of friends. Lots of shade.
