We stopped in here for one night. We were the only overnighters. Lots of working folks staying here which was not a problem but it鈥檚 not neat and tidy as another reviewer wrote. Cable does not work and when we called they said they would send someone. They never did. Office is closed at all times, you have to call to get checked in or need anything. Our site was dirty and a lot of run down trailers and cottages here. Single females should bypass this place.

Well this is definitely a very cute, tidy RV park with very pleasant staff. I should have read the reviews first as getting in here was complicated. It was dinner time and the gas station and Mc Donald鈥檚 were jammed. I didn鈥檛 zoom in on the app and it looked like the campground dot was on the other side of the road. We are a 45鈥 Motorhome towing so we ended up going down to exit and coming back around. We did have to disconnect to get in to our nice level, long concrete pad. We were just quick overnight stop. Did not use facilities. We would stop again鈥 now that we have it figured out. ?

Park is fine for a quick overnight. Came with a 40鈥 5th wheel. Majority of people here are long term. Entrance is confusing as others have mentioned. Road noise was bothersome all day/night, not a great location.

Stayed here for a quick 1 night on our way home. Had no problem with the entry but I came in slow off the exit ramp. The girls in the front office -which was still open at 7pm - could not have been nicer or more helpful- they get 5 stars! Loved that they had a security gate and our spot was easy to get in and out of. Our pad was perfectly level. Park was very clean and quiet and we enjoyed an easy mcDonalds breakfast on the way out at 6am. Great place for us as a stopover.

Directions!!! Upon exit from 10 west it is the first right turn into the Shell/Macdonald drive. Stay to the right of the pumps. Very odd entry for this RV park. I think the park was there first and then Shell bought the property in front of them. Imminent domain for the road probably. We had a 40芒鈧劉 w/tow and we were ok. Reception should tell everyone how to enter as it is very precarious and ther is NO sign directing you to the park. But Very clean and tidy smaller RV park w/tiny houses for rent also. Trees are mostly okay. Small and Some need trimming up. I would ask upon registration and before entering the gate. Most pull thrus. We got it okay but because it was before everyone got home and parked their vehicles. In the morning it was iffy because the neighbor across the street was hanging out. Thankfully he left. MacDonals directly in front of park. We walked the neighborhood for exercise down by high school to the fire department. Not too many sidewalks. Ate at a popular Mexican place. Some highway white noise and a few trains but not bad. Cable available but did not work. Old and rusty. But lots of antenna channels. WiFi wants you to set up an account to use their free basic WiFi. Didn芒鈧劉t want another account to manage. Quiet park. Everyone stays to themselves. Felt very safe. Would come again. Ask for first row as it is easier to get out. We had site 35 and had no tree problems. Sites are concrete but like most old campgrounds they are 芒鈧揾illed芒鈧 a little. Was still able to level without tires off the ground. Good place for an overnight.

ENTRANCE road is before the north edge of the Shell gas pumps, next to off ramp from I-10 east. EXIT is between McD芒鈧劉s and Shell. Very confusing with all the cars at the gas pumps. Railroad near & interstate noise. Not bad if winds from south. Nice clean park with heavy security gate.

Cold shower! $0.25 per 5 minutes though they give you complimentary quarters. No security for bathrooms and showers!! Entry to shower and bath house area is through a public access laundry. There is a door that could be a kept locked to the front where the gas station and McDonald's access is, however, they leave that one unlocked and open and the door inside the gated campground area locked. This does not make sense and is not safe to take a shower. Plus you're not supposed to lock the bathroom/shower door when you're inside. There is a note on the bathroom/shower door that says these showers are no longer public and they are for campground residents only. Apparently used to be a public shower area??? I suppose this is why they give you complementary quarter now. If you're the public entering you've got to pay for your shower!
On the plus side, pull through sites are level and full hook up with cable.

Very nice kept rv park. Big rig friendly. Very full. Call ahead. Overnight or two or monthly. Austin was working desk when we came in. Found us a great site.

Arriving through the McDonalds and Gas station is a bit cumbersome. Park is clean but crowded. Bring quarters to take a shower. Not bad for a stopover. $40.50

Overall, an excellent park, would highly recommend and would stay there again. Great stop on our cross-country trip. Park was spotless, pet friendly, and the Office staff was very friendly. We stayed 2 nights, it was a good base for exploring The Lake Charles area as well as the Gulf Coast.
The only thing that could be improved is the entrance. You have to turn into the Shell station and McDonald's, and when people feel free to park anywhere they want, it makes getting into the entrance of the park a bit difficult with the big rig.
We did not use the restrooms or laundry facilities, and did not notice any freeway noise at all. Would stay there again.
