Did not use any facilities. Sites paved & level. Not a ton of lighting in park - we loved that. When the wind died down the mosquitos came out. Couldn’t book same day online so called. They weren’t happy to help and couldn’t figure out how to add a day. Told us to just take care of it when we check in and that they could do it without an additional fee. They couldn’t. Also- foot trail, at least at the west end, hadn’t been tended to in many many months. Tried to follow it but lost it in the overgrowth. Otherwise, nice park.

The route to the camping takes you over lots of bridges with lovely views. Well run camping, everything was clean and worked. Beautiful beach, nice fishing pier and a nature trail. Recommended.

My only gripe with all of Louisiana state parks is that you are still charged $6 reservation fee for walk up.

Nice park. Well maintained, nice restrooms/showers. FREE Laundry. Nice big commercial machines. It's $20 per night with water and electric hookups. If you are from LA or a neighboring state, they offer a discount for the National Golden Age Passport. There is wifi but there is no bandwidth so its pretty useless. You can't see the water from the campsite. It is over a dune. The town is pretty deserted in the off season. There is a grocery/hardware store 2 miles away.

At park for one week Jan. 2016. Small mainly beach park on a over developed barrier island. Park is sandwiched between commercial activities with shrimp boats and helicopters making almost continuous racket. Showers clean and well maintained. Despite being close to water cannot see it from rv sites. Sites fairly close together with 3 long runways so even though campground not full a lot of traffic. Not a kayak friendly park, had to go to town to find kayak launch.. Weak WIfi at my site. Would not come back.
