This park was a good stop for the night. Just a short walk or bike ride to the levi which runs along the Mississippi We rode our bikes from there to downtown BatonRouge on the trail and it was beautiful All sites are pull through, with water and electric. The cons are that the sites are on grass and not all of them are level. At $40 a night, it’s pricey for what you get, and the bathrooms are very old and dingy. That being said, it’s a good stop outside of the city.

The grass field is just fine. The sites have water and electric. The bathroom and showers were dark and I didn’t go much further than that. The great thing was we were close to restaurants about a 10 min drive. One caution the train tracks were high and would caution the busses to look at the sattelite view for the best entrance to the River street. I came in late and was able to call the office and pay for the site around 7:30PM. It was raining but my 24’ Quest was just fine getting in and out.

Stayed one night to visit friends in the Jimmy Swaggart University area. $40/night is a bit high but considering the other parks in the area are dumps it’s not too bad. I suspect the rate is based on its proximity to LSU Stadium. Pros: convenient to south side of town including LSU, Mall of Louisiana, Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and downtown area. Cons: if it has been or will rain the sites tend to get wet. It rained several days prior to our stay and the ground was a bit soft and wet. It held our 40,000 motorhome but there were signs that others had problems. Water spigots are mounted so close to ground level that it was difficult to connect. No sewer at sites and dump was about a foot above ground making a clean dump difficult. We would consider staying there again unless rain was in the forecast.

We stayed here 1 night. Price for only water and electric was $40. Pricing on Allstays shows 2 dollar signs and needs to be updated.

Electric and water 40.00
Dump station
No fire rings or grills you have to bring your own. No wood.
Grass sites, pretty uneven.
Sites are large enough.
Great water pressure.
Shower house for 79 sites, pretty old.
Very dusty. Gravel roads.
Very nice campers. Very friendly and helpful if needed.
Shuttle to LSU football games a big plus. 20.00 round trip per person.
Wish they would take reservations all year long. Makes no since to stop taking them for the fall season on July 31st.
Only take cash or checks, no credit cards.
The horses fun to watch if your on that side of campground.

We stayed at this park for a night. There was lots of rain the days preceding our visit. Every lot was flooded and I had to wear my hiking boots to walk around the RV. electricity and water is available at each site. There is a dump station but we didn't bother. It is a great location to LSU and the Mississippi River. We paid nearly $40 to stay here for a night. We stayed in gated communities with a pool for the same price. $20 would be a good value. Bring bug spray.

the day after I got here it was raining and there was potholes all over the place and when I went to take a shower it was really good, hot water, but there was a lot of frogs and roaches inside and the shower curtain had mildew on it. On the weekends it was further to walk to go pay in the horses Arena the good thing about it is if you loved animals it was nice see the horses lots of horses running back and forth and you could pay to ride a horse if you wanted to it was a nice sidewalk on the side by the road if you had dogs to take them on a walk, they had plenty of trash cans around for everybody to use they never bothered you at all and they have a security guard, I would most likely stay here again if I was in this area.

Great Place. Grass campsites, mostly level. Bicycle trail along the river goes right downtown. We camped here in 40' motorhome. No sewer hookup. There is dump station. $20.00 per night

Nice enough. Nothing too exciting but safe with decent facilities. Downside is hefty bug population and you gotta go way over to the horse pavilion building to register. Seemed like they could care less that I bothered to pay for the site...

A gem. Bucolic. Great place, nice showers. Horses playing in the fields. The dump station could be better but we love it here. Laid back for sure. I would go to some trouble to stay here again, it's that nice.
