Camped one night in our Truck Camper Sunday April 16, 2023 w/o reservations; lots of availability. Nice electric only sites with decent privacy; clean bathroom/showers. Good hiking trails in and around the campground. Verizon signal was ok.

Nice park conveniently located to the Cumberland Gap. Nice spacing easy to maneuver a 30’ with a toad. Our site had electricity. It was impossible to get the RV level as the space were so sloped. All RV sites are paved. Ranger was really nice and very helpful. Come early as it fills fast and it first come first serve. November 5, 2021

National Park winner. Two sections of sites with electricity. $10 a night if you’ve got a senior pass. No water at site, no sewer but there is a dump station and there’s bound to be water somewhere. Excellent AT&T coverage. Many sites are not level. Most are very shaded. Most are short. Quite a bit of road noise from main highway but that will likely go down in the evening.

We’ve used this campground for an overnight stay a few times. We keep telling ourselves that one of these days we need to stay longer. So far, it’s the only National Park CG we’ve stayed at with electric hookup, though at a limited number of sites. Set in an interesting area, and a nice drive to and fro. Water is available and there is a dump station. Clean facilities. Middlesboro is nearby for supplies.

This is a first come first serve campground. When we went during the week in May and there were only a handful of people there. As the weekend came it filled up some, but was never anywhere near full. There are 2 rows of electric only sites and the rest have nothing. But the campground is beautiful, remote and quiet. The bathrooms are clean and the showers were fine... warm, good pressure, with a few bugs as expected. There are many trails nearby. We really enjoyed our time there.

Great spot to stay. Sites are separated well and the whole place is feels more like camping in the woods rather than in a parking lot. $20/night for electricity, water at the dump station on the way in. Camp host very helpful and friendly, bathrooms clean showers hot and free.
