Camping here in late July/early August, during a heatwave. 50 amp and water at massive (MASSIVE) pull-through lakefront site (#52) and there is currently one other RV in our loop, possibly the entire campground. It’s incredibly peaceful and beautiful, shore birds abound, just us and nature. I’m more than happy to use my debit card to pay for this site through recreation.gov.

Stayed for one night- scoring one of the remaining first come first serve sites. #6- water and 30 amp electric Well maintained site, level, afternoon shade, covered picnic table, clean bathhouse (a little stuffy in this heat wave), good cell coverage. Currently about half the sites in our loop are being renovated- no water front views but for our short stay- that’s fine And yes- no cash payment accepted- if that’s a problem go elsewhere but if it’s not a concern- it’s a wonderful place to stay.

Danger, danger, this government agency Is refusing to accept US currency. Exact change in US dollars is being refused! Only those willing to give out their credit card information to this remote facility are allowed. No American money is accepted. Park is nice but reserved for only those willing to give out there credit account information. With all the credit card fraud and identity theft going on theses days, it seems, if the Corps of Engineers don’t trust their attendants to handle money, why should we trust them with our credit card information?
