I stayed here in last October, got a waterfront site with electric for just 20$ a night. I would imagine it’s packed in summer!!! Totally awesome campground

We really enjoyed this place! We arrived on a Monday night and immediately found a beautiful campsite overlooking the largest manmade lake in Illinois! It was beautiful! Wildlife everywhere. Our campsite was nice and level. We are in a class C RV, so we didn’t need the bathroom facility. Our site had electricity but nothing else. We enjoyed bike riding around the park on on a nearby trail. Our site was a walk-up only. Back-in site.

June 2020 (Mon-Friday) the park was nearly empty except for the lakefront spots. Quiet campground during the week with big sites. The first 50-60 sites are reservable, however, the best lakefront sites are walk-ins. Because we were coming from a distance, we reserved one on reserve America and the camp host allowed us to swap it for any open one we liked better once we got here.
Nice trails, BIG park, the lakefront sites are gorgeous.

Dirty bathrooms. Okay if you avoid those.
