The campground is in the forest along Stanley Lake, and has 3 loops. Most sites have some kind of view of the lake and/or mountains. Several sites are "double". I think the small Overlook loop would be difficult for larger RVs (30+). The newest loop has huge sites and a very wide road, but less views and the sites, while spacious, are very exposed to the loop road. Vault toilets are clean. How peaceful it is depends on your neighbors -- be a good neighbor when you camp! There is access to dayuse area and trailheads. Overall it is a nice, though small, campground.
The Sawtooth area is very crowded in the summer so you probably need to reserve in advance. I was there mid-july, middle of the week and no sites were available.

Excellent place to camp. Camp host is friendly and if you have a boat or canoe the fishing is excellent as well. We go for 1week every year for 9 yrs now. Only well pump water, but it is drinkable right out of the tap and Vault toilets which are kept very clean as well.
