This place offers no refunds and I see why. If I could leave and get my money back for the days remaining I would. I鈥檝e only been here for about 3 hours. This place is a dumb. I can鈥檛 believe it鈥檚 a military installation. I would boondock before staying here again.

My wife and I are retired, and we travel in our motorhome during the summer and fall. This by far, hands-down, is the worst family camp we鈥檝e ever experienced. The Air Force should be embarrassed to encourage anyone to stay here. Most of the sites are occupied by either active duty or contractors who are housed in travel trailers. There鈥檚 no grass with the exception by the old skeet range. The dog park is a joke. We have a dog and it鈥檚 just terrible for him to try and walk in the areas where there used to be grass because now it鈥檚 just weeds and cactus burrs that gets stuck in his paws. One night is sufficient if you need to go to the exchange and commissary do so yes then get the heck out of there.

I only submit this review to alert the reader that things have not gotten any better since the 2023 review. The FamCamp is an embarrassment to the AF FamCamp system. Don鈥檛 stay longer than a night if you can help it! What a dump!

This FamCamp is honestly a dump! It鈥檚 embarrassing that this FSS would offer this as a place for service members and their families and retirees to recreate and/or live (in this case)! This is not how we treat our people. It is truly shameful. Weeds, foxtail and goat heads everywhere! Not a sprig of grass in sight! Dead trees, trees with dead limbs all over. Limbs and debris all over the roads in the park. This FSS has made the decision to use this FamCamp as a trailer park and allow Airmen and contractors to stay there longer than 180 days, because it鈥檚 guaranteed income for them. The problem is, none of the money they are making is going back in to the camp. All you will get from the FSS is excuses and an explanation of how the camp used to be! NOBODY CARES HOW IT USED TO BE! My recommendation for you is to head to Gowen Field in Boise if you don鈥檛 absolutely have to stay in Mountain Home.

Terrible place, don芒鈧�鈩�t go there or pay for more than 1 night

Don芒鈧�鈩�t go there based on pictures of current site. They stop watering the area and it芒鈧�鈩�s a dust bowl . This place need new management who care how the Famcamp looks. I stayed there 1 night out of six knowing I wouldn芒鈧�鈩�t get a refund. Let just say staying in Walmart parking lot would better and I don芒鈧�鈩�t stay there.

Arrived on 1 May 2021. The camp host was friendly and so were the folks who stay for a long time. There were no spots for me to park so I was able to park in 芒鈧�艙overflow芒鈧�聺. They brought out an extension chord so I could plug in. There was no grass to speak of and a-lot of goat heads!!!! I was constantly pulling them out of my dogs feet and my shoes. Found out there is a water shortage on the base so the base CO had sprinkler system at Fam Camp shut off.

Here for the weekend passing through. Found out there is no camp host for a while. There no overflow parking so you are on your own to find a spot to park. The bathrooms has no toilet paper and the showers has not worked in weeks . This is the only place where one camper can have 6 different items park by his camper so leaving harder place to park your rv. Plus this place you can run your own business out of . Washer and dryers are broke . No place to get quarters for the machine. Lot of generator running in overflow. No water , sewer,or electricity available.

This park was amazing until they let the camp host go for no reason. Now when you go use the bath house take your own toilet paper and hand towels , you will never know until you find out they are out. Know body there to help you find a place to park or help when you are having issue with your rv. The laundry room is good but bring your own change because there is no place to get quarters. The bath house is not cleaned regularly. The wind brings trash in the park and know one to pick it up . So good luck on your stay

My family fell in love with this place. Chuck and Anne are so wonderful. Everything is within walking and biking distance. Bathrooms and laundry were very clean. Group campfires helped us meet others and gave us a real since of community. This will be somewhere we stay again.
