July 2020: A smallish campground with all sites spaced around the single loop road. We drove through just to look on our way by (we also did the same in Fall of 2019). As we also noticed last Fall, all sites were either already occupied or reserved for several days forward. It's apparently a popular campground, partly we suspect because it's not too far from the very popular, excessively crowded and overly used hot springs area some miles further west. Most all the sites have at least partial shade from tall pine trees. There's enough space between sites for basic privacy, but not much more. Potable freshwater is available for hand-carried containers from a hand-pumped well near the eastern end of the campground loop road. A camp host is on-site. We noticed the dirt road leading from the campground loop to the river was blocked off and close to vehicles.

Campground was a reasonable fee. No hook ups! However, there is potable water and pit toilets available. Good separation between camp spots. The sites were all hard surface and fairly level. The river is a short 1/4 mile walk. NO CELL SERVICE!!! We found this to be a benefit. I would recommend getting a spot further away from the highway. We could not here any of the road noise inside our camp trailer. Only a couple of slots will fit over 30 feet. We found slot #3 to be the best in the campground for trailers. We will definitely be visiting this site again.
