A nice large campground, on the river and in July when we were there, it was a parade of jet boats heading towards, or from Hells Canyon. The throbbing roars and sight was fun, not annoying. We were in the tent loop, so we were dry camping, and that was fine. It can get hot here, but it is mostly shady. Recommend.

Stayed in the loop at the very end for tents. Good sites with good shade but not much privacy. Decent bathrooms. Easy walk or bike ride to the day use beach swimming area. Close to town! They also have disc golf, hiking/biking trails, and a museum.

Lots of trails everywhere, and so much to do makes this park really nice. There is swimming access to the river. The camping spaces were large, though not really private. It was $37/night there for out of state campers for water and electricity.

If you go, check out the free Jack O'Connor museum. It is really well done and a neat tribute.
