We stayed at Craters of the Moon KOA for two nights in early August 2022. Check in was easy, staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in FHU, pull thru site C2, just across from the pool. The site was gravel but it was also perfectly level. C2 had a fire pit and a new picnic table. Plenty of room between sites with shade trees.
The pool is small but it’s perfect for the kids. There is a play structure for the kids also. The front office offers free waffles and coffee every morning between 9-10am and has an ice cream social every evening at 5pm. The registration office has a nice large gift shop with all kinds of groceries and souvenirs for purchase.
This is a smaller KOA, but that’s what makes it perfect.
Tip: A&A Grocery Store is a few blocks away with pretty good selections of groceries.
Tip: There is a hardware store a few blocks away should you be traveling with the in-laws and they break everything they touch.

Very clean. Hosts hospitable. Waffles served every morning and ice cream social every evening. Pool was a huge plus. Town is quaint and friendly.

Good for 1 night passing thru. Arrive early to get the shade! Offering small menu/dinner delivery from their kitchen and free waffle bkfst- nice touch from new owners! Developing in the right direction- good job!

Great campground. The new owners are doing well in maintenance and improvements. Convenient to the Craters (awesome!!). A very nice, happy place to visit.

Nice place to stay only cost $130 a night for a 50amp spot. Run down free place next door for people not wanting the style and class of a KOA. My eep changing owners often though so service varies. I'd stay again

Good little KOA. Nice sites, staff was very nice, bathrooms are a little dated as are all campground bathrooms. I would stay there again.

Terrific little KOA close to Craters of the Moon. Level, gravel spots with nice grassy lawns and trees. Decent separation between sites depending where you park. After a week-plus of more primitive camping in the Montana/Wyoming national parks, it was nice to have a pool, afternoon ice cream, and free waffles and coffee. Staff was uniformly fantastic and friendly. We had an issue with our truck requiring a mechanic, and they steered us to the right guy to help, and then came by our site the next morning to make sure we were OK.
