This was a good stop with extra long pull through sites and a row of back in sites closest to the lake. While there we saw one site occupied by a very large MH and as good sized travel trailer. It appeared that the trailer was drawing 30 AMPS and the MH 50 AMPS. The space between sites was excellent. A place to return to.

What a great site next to the water. We arrived just prior to the water being turned back on for the season and had the site and grassy area in front of the water to ourselves. If we come back through American falls, we will be back! Thanks to the on-site manager who was very kind and helpful.

Chris the manager/owner was great. He had recommendations of things for me to do and whenever he saw me (almost daily) he would check to make sure everything was great. I had to return an amazon package and he printed a label for me making my life so much easier. I would stay here again.

Easy to find, when we pulled in the place was packed! Each RV spot was filled with an RV plus as many cars and trucks as would fit along with multiple tents at each site. We went to turn info our spot and found kids clothing lining the RV spot to dry.
I locked eyes with my husband and thought 芒鈧揷rap, what have we done芒鈧
Come to find out there was a baseball tournament all weekend that was a fundraiser for a young local boy that had passed. My heart melted. Everyone was so kind, even apologizing for the chaos. As their last game ended it was like a tornado came in, EXCEPT this tornado came thru the RV park packing things up and cleaning the campsite. They all pulled out and we had the place to ourselves. The manager came over and apologized(not necessary) and informed us that what we see now is the norm. Gorgeous lake views, level spots, hook ups worked great. We were shaded most of the day, most spots have some shade; look at google maps.
The water was too warm to fish but there is a well paved trail around the area that we walked the dogs on and road E bikes. A lot of grassy areas to play with the dogs or throw the football with the boys.
We never used their facilities.
The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the holes in the lawn, not critter holes just holes. One was big enough that my giant old English sheepadoodle kept sticking her head in looking like she was searching for something tasty. Anyway, they were a little hazardous
Mosquitoss and flies were horrible but you are at a lake in August so what do you expect. There is also a train that came thru a few times a day. It was really loud when I was paying attention, even scared the dogs the first couple times. HOWEVER, it didn芒鈧劉t bother us and we never heard it at night.
We don芒鈧劉t travel with a tow vehicle so we typically don芒鈧劉t leave the site. Here town was close enough that we could take our E-bikes in Titian for candy when I got the munchies or a beer for daddy when he got the-munchies.
Happy RVing

A lovely small campground on a reservoir with a boat launch, bike and hiking paths, and a lot of open green grassy areas that are beautifully kept up. We were in a pull through and had a huge yard with a picnic table and fire pit. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful, directing us to a local bakery andl points of interest. Highly recommend this campground for a relaxing country experience. As others have noted, there is frequent train traffic but we did not find it disturbing since they did not blow their whistles. I guess it depends on how sensitive you are to that noise.

A real gem. We got a partial hookup site (no sewer) in the shade with great lake view for under $25. Mgt was great. Trains are close, but that just reminds me of home. Pull through too. Campground was peaceful with great campers.

Our favorite place so far! Huge sites with beautiful grass. Some spots have large trees and provide lots of shade. Ours didn't but the temps were nice while we were there (70's) so it wasn't a problem.
After the first train or so, I got used to the train noise. It really wasn't bad and I didn't even notice it at night.
The campground management was the friendliest we've encountered. We made fast friends and will keep up with them from now on.
The management changed in March of 2016, and from what I understand, everything has improved significantly since then.
Laundry rooms were nice and inexpensive compared to other places we've stayed. Very cool little town. Hit the Rock Bottom bar in town if you like good beer and a pleasant atmosphere. We felt right at home and had the best hazelnut beer I've ever had.
We will DEFINITELY return to this campground. Our BEST experience so far.

The trains do come often, but don't blow their whistle while they pass. Not really an issue! We would stay again. Lots of grass & flowers! Our dog liked the open grassy areas to run free!

Nice Campground, lots of grass, but not much shade. Close to lake. But the train is passing by really close, so prepare for some noise every 15-20 min, except between 11 pm and 5 am.
