This is definitely well off the beaten path and well worth it. Two downsides- the trains and our pad (60) was beautiful but far from level. My husband had a struggle getting our 32 foot Class C level. And we have automated levelers.

This is a wonderful small COE. The park is nicely kept up. The pads are level concrete. They are in great condition. There are frequent trains that go by the park but they didn’t bother us. It is so peaceful right on the river.

If the noise of trains bothers you, this is not the campground for you. I didn’t mind them at all and stayed here for 10 days in 3 different sites. Favorite site was 52 in lower loop, which was quieter and sites better spaced. Nicely maintained campground. Only complaint is no central fresh water to fill tank. Lots of fresh water spigots around but may not be convenient to your site.

Nicely kept campground right on the Mississippi. The down River side had fewer bugs. We stayed in 18 and in 53. 53 is raised and has a new concrete pad with lovely views of the river and a bit of a breeze. 2 miles from Potosi and the beer museum, which is worth seeing.

We really enjoyed this campground. Most sites were level concrete pads. Electric at most sites. Water hook ups were abundant around the campground. Very clean. We had a site right next to the river. Awesome views. There were trains running day and night. Only real negative I can come up with for this campground is that the dumpster was quite full. Would definitely stay again. We have a 28ft class C.

I agree this is a very nice park right on the Mississippi River, it has a boat launch, but no beach, etc. It's fun to watch the river barges and tug / tow boats. The trains ran about every 15 minutes!!! But you do get used to them. The Potosi Brewery is worth a visit, beer, wine and good food.

Very nice facility and campsites. Lots of things to do nearby. Trains are close, loud and run frequently. I did note that by the third night I wasn't awakened by train noise.

Train run by at all hours. Fun for kids smashing coins on tracks. But run your fan if you want to sleep
