Well maintained park and campsites. Only pine trees so shade is limited, but best shade sites are along the east side of campground. We had site 8 which is good lakeside site but NO shade. Small 120 acre lake has dark brown stained water with alligator warning signs everywhere and boats that daily run full speed from one end to the other so bank fishing was terrible. Buildings in the park are very old and in need of updates but bathrooms are kept clean. Laundry available for $3.50 per load. Free WiFi has a good signal and AT&T had 2 bars. There is a good trail system but the boardwalk trail has been closed since hurricane Helina and just needs a few down trees removed and two small areas of the boardwalk repaired.

Very nice campground. The hiking trails were nice, and we enjoyed kayaking. Kayak under the bridge to a really nice area.

Nice state park, lots of room between sites and a lake to fish in. Quite place amount the giant pines. Not all sites were level but the host worked with us on getting a level site. Great dog park.

Stayed here fall of 2020 back for 4th of July 2021 we enjoyed it so much . Beautiful state park, lots to do , reasonably priced . Love that there are lots of trees and nice gravel sites. Came back with our grandchildren this year. Swimming, hiking , boating, fishing , biking and lots of playground equipment. Would def recommend this park.

This is a nice campground! Level sights, shade, lake view by nearly all, clean comfort stations, very secure, friendly & informative staff, kid friendly, lots of activities. Hiking, bike trails, fishing & archery. Very affordable @ $36/night. We recommend this park & will be back!

Great small park in a hand planted timber forest. Flat graveled large sites most of which have a lake view. Swimming beach on cabin side. One new bathroom and one old bathroom basically next to each other. Large book lending library and laundry. Park puts on a ton of activities for kids. Waycross is the closest town for miles and not much going there. AT&T and Verizon had fast connections.

My husband and I visit here at least once a year for 3 to 5 days and have never had any problems. Park is well-maintained, peaceful and staff at check-in are always nice. We stayed in a motorhome.
