I would not have given this famcamp even one star except sites are cement pads. First of all the bathroom/shower in both men and women are NASTY. One of the other campers was in the women芒鈧劉s cleaning it with her own brush and pinesol so she could take a shower. We have stayed at a lot of FamCamp芒鈧劉s and I have never seen one so nasty.
Sites are tight even pull through and the drive into camp is so narrow you could not pass anyone coming other direction. The Gate to get into base was a nightmare in itself. Directions both from this site and Maps had us going in main gate 5 but that gate no longer lets in large vehicles campers you have to use gate 7 for commercial vehicles don芒鈧劉t know where you would go after hours. The main gate is now gate 3 not 5 (changed in February) so be sure to check which gate to come in. We had to have security stop traffic so we could back up all the way out of gate 5 and back on state road to go down to gate 7.
To sum it all up like others have said this famcamp is not the place. You would do be happier to Go on down the road a couple of hours to Fort Benning or up to Huntsville or Fort Stewart depending on the direction you are going.

Planned to stay there in 4 days (4/28/2022) after leaving Family Camp at McDill AFB. Reviews of Robbins sound like crappy place. We will no stay there now. I芒鈧劉m pulling Rockwood 35 ft trailer with Ford 250. I come and go from McDill with only showing my ID card. No RV inspections and I drive by CENTCON and SPECOPS HQ every day. So, QUESTION: What is the purpose of 芒鈧搃nspecting芒鈧 your camper? Another local chicken shit routine by the locals? I芒鈧劉m sure a kid MP doesn芒鈧劉t know shit about RVs and if CENTCOM and Special Operations aren芒鈧劉t worried, Warner Robbins shouldn芒鈧劉t be either. I芒鈧劉ll be staying at a Walmart or Cracker Barrel instead.

Directions:
The posted directions on getting to the base are spot on. We followed them instead of the GPS and it brought us straight to the gate practically.
One note to add, We arrived after 1800 and so gate 4 was closed. If arriving after hours use the main gate (gate 5) and drive to the large car port looking building near the gate entrance and someone will give you further instructions on what to do.
Directions from the main gate, gate 5, to the fam camp:
1)Drive through the front gate and make a right at the second traffic light.
2) Make a left on 10th st
3)Follow the brown Fam Camp signs to the campgrounds.
Close to the campgrounds the streets will be pretty narrow.
Instructions:
If you were unable to make reservations, there is an overflow area that you can use to boondock for the night. You can pay in the morning when they open at 0900. If RV sites are open and there are no reservation slips on the bulletin board, park in a spot and go up to the office first thing in the morning at 0900.
Observations:
芒鈧e were able to get a full hookup site with no reservations. There were three open spots to from. Some will need maceraters which you can borrow from the front office or you won芒鈧劉t be able to use the sewer at the site which has only a garden house hookup.
芒鈧ad two washers and two dryers which were out of order during our stay.
芒鈧here were two kiddie play sets.
芒鈧ark benches at the pond to sit and enjoy.
芒鈧he roads are pretty narrow in and around the camp ground. Many of the spots were taken by campers that have obviously been there for a while. Thought everyone that we met were very very friendly.

This is a small RV park, located on the far back side of Robins AFB (near horse stables on the far side of base housing and by the two base lakes). I stayed for a month while fixing up our house in the area. The host was helpful, met a groups of campers that hung out most nights (3-7 different campers depending on the night), and enjoyed being on the edge of the forest/swamp area of the base (except for the bugs!), as it afforded good walks for my dog. (Base dog park was about 1/2 mile walk, next to housing.)

There are no RV campsites available for travelers as all the sites are taken by people who have the sites for a year or longer. The camp manager is nice to talk to, but mostly unavailable to 芒鈧搈anage 芒鈧 the camp due to having to work the outdoor rec office. We stayed at the skeet range where there was no sewer hook up. There are 3 sites here and they all use the same water faucet hook up that is supplied with only a single garden hose feed. The very narrow, somewhat paved path, has overhanging tree branches that scraped across the A/C units. In desperate need of trimming. If you have pets that are afraid of shooting, stay away. No dumpster on the grounds. NOT WORTH EVEN THE $20 PER NIGHT.

We came off Io 75 looking for a place for overnight. The directions on one of the websites about getting to the commercial gate was incorrect it is actually gate three and you need to stop wiell be for the gate so that they can pull you into the big inspection building. They checked ID and did a walk-through of the camper Once you go through the gate there are a lot of turns to get to the Cape site. We thought there was a pull through available but it was occupied when we got there, it seems the people got here a day early. We decided to park in the overflow area which really isn芒鈧劉t marked. We found out from one of the other campers that there is no hot water in the showers so we use the restrooms by the office to wash up. Overall it is a very pretty setting and the sites don芒鈧劉t look bad but without a reservation and no hot water it芒鈧劉s barely worth the $10 charge.

I personally loved the fam camp. The manager helped me tremendously and the facilities were great and very clean. I stayed for 2 days last summer.

Got here after dark, gps took us to main gate, MP 芒鈧搆id芒鈧 gave us wrong directions to rv gate to inspect RV. Drove in circles for 45 min, returned to main gate & finally got correct directions. After coming onto base, directions sketchy to campground, finally found it but could hardly see road to turn in on. Very difficult!!! Not worth $25 for one night. Took us total hr fifteen min to find. Didn芒鈧劉t even check out rest rooms.

Gate to AFB difficult to find and fam camp even worse. Once we finally got there with the help of rolling security, we found the camp to be in pretty bad condition. Host was gone, office closed but very friendly campers that helped us get settled. Reservations a must but not worth the frustration for one night.
