We enjoyed our stay at Tallulah Gorge SP. We did several hikes and there is a nice bike trail but it is not very long. The hike to the gorge is approximately 3 miles long and extremely strenuous. It has 2 River crossings, one of which I got chest deep of water. The boulders are very slippery, but you learn everything about the hike in a short presentation to get your permit.
The campsites are closer than most state parks. We were in site 50 with a 24 foot travel trailer. We did need to level from side to side and front to back. But no issues with leveling. The bathhouses were very clean with warm showers.

We enjoyed our stay because of the views, hiking, and bike trails/roads. The steps down to the bridge are worth it but would suggest going North (from the interpretive center) to South. We have a truck camper and stayed on site 44 which has road noise from 441 and was a HUGE challenge to level up. We would suggest choosing sites 1-36 for a more level site. Sites 1-12 are near the park road but it closes at night.

A pretty place with good hiking. The campground was fine, but the sites were too close for a state park atmosphere. We had a premium site, but I’m not sure I would have called it that. There was quite a variation among the sites, so know what you’re getting. Also, apparently on M-Th there is no one to check you in and we had to go to the visitors center, which is a mile away and was quite crowded. Not great when pulling a trailer.

Like most state parks it is a little tight for any 5ers over 35ft. I made it to our site with a little trouble but the sites are like a commercial park very close together. We are 38ft and the site was for 50ft so we r fine. It is an OK park.

Good state park campground. The sites are all gravel and relatively level. They all have a open grill, fire pit, electric (50/30/20) and water hook up. No at site sewer, but there is a dump station at the entrance. Pretty remote and clean.

Clean big bathrooms. Hot water. Friendly observant attentive camp hosts. Great hiking in State Park. Close to Clayton. Our sites 10 and 12 had lots of room BUT much road noise and it was windy. The road noise is disconcerting. But place was fun overall.

A quality state park. It cost $32 per night and most of the sites were very, very close to each other. First come first to pick their spot. Great hiking trails around the gorge. Two large bathhouses that were clean and comfortable, though they need to install hooks for people to set toiletry bags or towels. Great showers with strong warm water flow. I would return for another try if I need d to stay in the area.

One of the best state parks I have been to. Staff was absolutely outstanding.
