Very nice campground. Sites are spread out and spacious. Common areas are clean and maintained. Off post with easy access, short drive to post for PX, Commissary, etc.
Friendly and courteous staff.

Stayed a couple weeks while visiting friends. We were warned to stick strictly to the speed limits in the area; MPs patrol the roads.
Agree with the previous review (including the hospital - unfortunately, we also had need of it).
Good roads to and from the RV area. Plenty of room for a 40鈥 and a couple cars - and plenty of space between sites, so one doesn鈥檛 feel cramped. There are fire pits and patios with picnic tables, and tent camping in the woods.
Stocked fishing lake and playground, plenty of forest to walk through. Two large dog parks with obstacle courses and clean water. The park and sites can get a little swampy with heavy rain, and there are 鈥榮kitters after, but that鈥檚 par for the course. There are also turtles and armadillos in the RV park, and alligators at the lake. Hence the 5 mph speed limit.
Very friendly neighbors - met some nice people - we were moving to a different site when a bad storm hit, and people ran out into the rain to help us with our dog fence and chairs.
Management comes by regularly to check on things, and the office staff was always friendly and helpful. Easy access to the base amenities and stores/restaurants in Hinesville.
We highly recommend this park for veterans and military.

We enjoyed three nights here at this little gem. The pond itself is a nice scene and we did see a couple of small alligators. the walking trails are really enjoyable. Our labrador romped happily in the spacious dog park down the road. Our FHU site, number 22, was wide open and there鈥檚 plenty of room between sites. There also are wooded sites if you prefer. Camphost were extremely nice. Army hospital nearby was excellent. Needed medical attention while here, sadly. The shower house is dated, but very clean and the water pressure is outstanding. We would definitely return here.

Arriving at the Post I asked the gate guard for direction to the camp site, in witch she told me just follow the signs. There were no signs until you got all the way over to the other end of the post. Once there i found one little sign. I stopped and asked direction and a soldier showed me the way out the back gate and the direction to the camp ground. Once at the camp sign there was a great sign larges i芒鈧劉ve seen yet. Made reservation for a pull through and they first put me in a back in. After staying there for 10 days it seemed that there was a over abundance of space, free. The camp site was a great looking site lots of room with a number of cabins to nice and quite. But the only complaint that i have $44.00 a night that is a little steep for retired folks. The book says 17 for 100%and 24.00 regulars retired. Had a problem with cable and told the staff who said they would fix it but nothing done. Wife must have found the only hole in the area which was covered by leaves and fell in. Staff was informed nothing done.

Liked the campground, very spacious sites, lots of nature, including gators in the pond. Didn芒鈧劉t use the amenities due to arriving after the office closed for the day Monday, then office was closed the next two days so didn芒鈧劉t get a bathroom code. Biggest draw back for us were a few active duty folks staying in trailers. Assume they were NASCAR fans, because they drove through the campground going what I would estimate 30 + mph, several times a day. If we had small kids we would have been very nervous. Would go back again.

Returned to the area after living there 38 years ago. Holbrook Pond was always a fun place to go with our young boys. It hasn芒鈧劉t changed as much as the rest of the area although it had much more to offer than before. Nice friendly staff and large spaces for long term or overnight stays. It certainly did not disappoint. Still top of our list.

No recent reviews so I I thought I芒鈧劉d put one in. We actually stayed here over St. Patrick芒鈧劉s Day weekend this past March. Spent a lot of time in Savannah so our time was mostly mornings and late evenings. It appears we may have been in a newer section given how the park was laid out. There are pull thru芒鈧劉s. Indeed the section we were in was almost all pull throughs. All pretty long. All were gravel with concrete pads with tables for sitting. Ours actually faced the tent sites but no one was there so it was very private. Base is not 芒鈧揾andy芒鈧 since it芒鈧劉s a big Army training base and there was training ongoing. But, if you are military or otherwise authorized to use the place that shouldn芒鈧劉t bother you. Reception folks were great. Didn芒鈧劉t meet the camp host but he seemed busy keeping the place clean and tidy. We will definitely return if/when we are thru that area again. Power, water and sewer all were non-issues. Can芒鈧劉t speak to cable or other TV items since we don芒鈧劉t use. Overall, very nice and well designed and cared for out of the way park. Which we like.

Not sure where the other reviewers stayed but my experience at Holbrook Pond RV area was terrible. Area around RV pads were unkept and messy. Looked like a homestead for active duty patrons. Bugs terrible, training explosions during the night, dog run area was in severe need of cleanup and grass mowing. NEVER AGAIN HERE.

Very nice campground. Staff and hosts were very friendly. Site and facilities very clean. No sewer hook ups would be a problem for long term but we were short stay and using dump station was fine. We enjoyed the camping feel. It is a bit out of the way. GPS didn't pick it up, used 144 and bldg number for GPS. Free laundry.
