Very nice park, lots of shade, friendly staff, close to crooked river State Park, and close to Cumberland Island ferry. clean well kept lots. Would stay again.

We spent a very pleasant month in this campground. It’s heavily wooded, quiet, and very well-maintained. It has a State Park right across the road. Interestingly, they were full and put us in a overflow site, which we considered our good fortune because it had full hook ups but also a great expanse of nature in front of us. Felt like more of a premium site. The staff was very gracious, helpful and accommodating. Many full timers but all in nice RVs, mostly people working at the navy base.
New owner working daily to make it even better.
Full hookups all worked perfectly.
Wifi pretty much useless but they don’t promise otherwise. Verizon cell works great. Very few over the air channels (too many trees? That’s a good thing!).
Laundry room looked nice enough and not expensive, but we did not use.
Game room with many games and a library.
We camped in a 20’ TT.
Would definitely come back.

As mentioned, seems like a lot of long term residents, but very accommodating for transient travelers. Stayed 3 nights and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Guy picked up my empty propane bottle in golf cart, filled and returned. Great customer service.

Nice clean park. I’d estimate 99.5% of spaces are long-term, but they’re clean and kept in check.
The power for my space (25) was up near the door of my tow vehicle, so I had to use a 30 amp extension cord to get power (thank goodness I had it).
Staff was friendly and helpful.

We really liked this little park, old but maintained adequately. Paved level sites, we had a pull through. Easy in and out. Laundry room kept very nice & clean, and not expensive. Owner was friendly & very helpful. Sites were shades, paved & level. I would stay here again, but here’s the thing. They recently raised their rates & we got our reservations before that knowing it would be less expensive than Crooked Creek State Park, which is right across the street. The SP has wonderful sites with full hookup, so if I come back to this beautiful area of Georgia coast, I’ll look there first. A Big Wheel would be the best option for longer term stays. I like it a lot.

No thrills, ok park. Stayed 9 nights and lost power 4 times not related to weather, just random power outage. Be sure you have a surge protector. Laundry was good, small pond full of turtles. Verizon and AT&T 3 bars. Paved through out with level concrete sites. Older community, some permanent residence. Owner was very nice and accommodating. You can receive mail here.

We full time RV for the last two years. This is one of the top sites on our list for a place to go that allows us a relaxing atmosphere away from traffic, trains and airplane noises. Yes this is an adult location but grandkids are welcomed. The sites are well maintained and the number of sites are growing. WiFi connectivity will soon be backed up by the installation of multi-pair fiber and an upgraded intranet infrastructure. Currently the WiFi is ok but soon will be wonderful. The pond is catch and released but warning signs are displayed for alligators, snakes and insects but that is any location in southern Georgia and Florida. The owner is extremely accommodating to guests needs when possible. I believe anyone staying here will feel at home. Don’t harm the cats or chickens but enjoy their friendless as they welcome your attention. The restrooms/showers are clean with plenty of hot water. Excellent laundry accommodations. I’m making our next stay here harder as I write this review.

Nice level pull through sites and reasonable rates with our pa discount. Beautiful grounds and spaces throughout the park. The fishing pond was wonderful and our kids enjoyed the catch and release fishing very much! The free range chickens were fun to see as well. Nice restrooms and clean showers and laundry area. Plenty of residents here but sites were not packed with junk and trash. We would definitely come back and stay here.

This place is a keeper for sure. It needs a little landscaping work which is no big deal. I really like the concrete pads and cleanliness of the laundry room and bathrooms. Good paved interior roads. Verizon three LTE bars coverage. The chickens are a hoot.
