This campground is gorgeous. It’s very hilly, so most sites are terraced with wood or water views. Some sites are huge. No cell service.

We stayed at Hard Labor Creek for 5 nights at the end of February 2024. We were surprised by the number of campers in the CG. The bathrooms were dated, but warm -not hot - with warm water. The Golf Course was very nice. The MTB trails were ok. Some were very rooty. The CG trail was nice. The campground hosts were incredibly friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable about area activities and restaurants. Most of the sites seemed level, but you definitely want to make sure you check site length when making a reservation. We would definitely return.

We stayed in Site #11 for 6 nights in February 2024. Water and electric hook up. Sketchy cell phone coverage but fast WiFi at the park office. The CG host (Sue) was extremely knowledgeable about places to visit and restaurants in the area. The Golf course is very nice. Some of the mountain biking trails were closed due to a bridge wash out, but those that were open were fun to ride. We spent an afternoon in Madison which is a great little town. We have a 34.5’ fifth wheel and noted that many spots would be roomy enough for us. The bathhouse was clean (water was warm enough). The park staff were very friendly and helpful as well. We will definitely go back!

My 3 star rating is only because it doesn't work for us. We have a 40' fifth wheel and campgrounds need to realize we need room to maneuver and a level site to set up. We had site 3, a large pill thru to begin with but we couldn't get it to level (right/left). Staff are awesome and super helpful so we were able to pick our site from 3 others available. We ended up in site 10. We wouldn't stay here again but can definitely see smaller rigs not having issues.

Great level campsites that seem to typically be larger than advertised. We started on site 18 and had one bar of Verizon signal. Ended up moving to site 40 because it was big enough for our 36’ Tiffin and toad. These sites (right near the creek) also had slightly better Verizon cell reception. With a 4x4 MIMO JETPACK I was able to get 20 MBps down and around .9 MBps up. Not great but enough to check home security cams, email and a phone call.

Wow. Great state park. New bathrooms, laundry available. Sites have electric and cable. Some are full hook up. Long and pretty level. We had no Verizon and no T mobile signal moat of the time.

The main campground was closed for updating, so we stayed at the equestrian campground. All pull thrus, water and electric. Very shaded. If you're a horse person this place is for you. Clean shower house. Georgia State Astronomy site is on the park grounds and they have open house once a month. It was interesting looking through the telescopes. The negative part is very poor cell reception! Verizon was 1x to 2 dot 3G but T-Mobile was 2 dot LTE. Go figure.
