We stayed in east campground but both east and west appeared to have been updated in the past year or so. New tables, grills, fire pits, bathrooms and a lot of new wood around each site. It does appear the west side has more space between sites and east side has sits very close to the road that winds through. We had heavy rain one night and there was a lot of standing water and seeps through the hillside that stuck around for several days in several sites. Park was pretty well maintained however there were several dead branches that pose a hazard to fall on a site or hiker that need attention as well as several down trees in the park and on trails that need to be removed.
The park has several very nice and interesting trails and waterfalls. There is a nicely maintained 18 hole frisbee golf course and a small pond stocked with catfish about a mile from east campground.
If you like hiking I recommend visiting for a few days.

Excellent campground with views of canyon and waterfalls. Spotless restrooms and showers. Level gravel sites. Top notch in any category.

East side was not bad but the west campground had lots of trees and gave you more privacy between sites. Next time we’re goin west!

Amazing campground. The entire region is a 'not to be missed' view. Deep gorges and mountains. The road up is pretty steep and winding, The campsites were beautiful, with water and electric.
