Very nicely kept camp sites, all on level concrete pad with level gravel space either beside or behind pad and all sites spaced apart a decent amount. Most sites are right next to the lake with a lot of shade trees, but there is a fairly steep drop off to walk down to the water. Paved roads throughout campground in very good condition. Clean bathrooms and showers centrally located between the three camping areas. Camp hosts were regularly patrolling the area and kept empty sits clean for next visitor. One group started playing Loud music and it appeared camp host quickly asked them to turn it down. Despite a couple rainy days/nights we had a peaceful and enjoyable stay and will return.

Absolutely love this campground that sits on the edge of Carter’s Lake. Our campsite 13 was very clean and had an incredible view of the sunrise. The other side of the street got the sunset. Just down the road from some apple orchards and roadside stands. We will come back again!

We came to Woodring for just a couple of nights. We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderfully designed and well kept campground. We had been on the other side of Carters Lake at Doll Mountain for the two nights prior, and it was nice too, but we like Woodring so much better. The sites are a bit tight, but you'd have a hard time finding a campground anywhere having more sites with such nice views of the water. This place is just beautiful.

Beautiful views of the lake for all sites. The sites are very clean and well maintained. Detractors are small sites and few bathroom facilities. Sites are quite compact with little room to spread out due to steep drop-offs toward the lake. The one bathhouse is 100's of yards away and not convenient for quick relief. The campground is also 30 mins from a store in Ellijay NC. I highly recommend the site of you are interested in peace and quiet, beauty, and solitude with a view!
