Campground was well maintained. New bathroom with laundry for $1.50 per load. Bathroom was at one end of campground so a bit of a hike for half the sites, but kept clean. All sites are on the water and there are a lot of hardwood trees for shade. Sites are mostly level. ATT only gets weak 1 bar LTE, no WiFi and no FM radio reception or antenna TV. Poor bank fishing due to shallow shallow and vegetation and can rally only fish near your site without encroaching on others. There are signs to be aware of alligators.
There are 4 short trails in the park. Each could use some maintenance. One is near campground and three are near welcome center about a mile away from campground. There is a. Old mill and museum next to welcome center but only open on saturdays.

We love this park. Small only 30 camping sites all but three are on the water. We fished right at our site. Clean restrooms and great camp hosts. We didn’t do much as we just needed time away and this park was quite.

Tried to book one night online and ran into problems. Called the park directly and talked with a friendly and accommodating gal who was very helpful. This is a beautiful, out of the way state park and the sites are spaced far enough apart to allow plenty of privacy. Camp host is helpful too. We’ll come back for a longer stay next time.
