This park needs some funding. They put us in site 6 and its probably the worst one here. All on a hill. Will not be coming back unless we can get site 1. I think whoever is in that site never leaves. There are a few questionable rigs in here. Steep hills small sites. Don’t come here with big rig.

It’s a very nice looking campground, however looks can be deceiving. The sites are small and on a hill some pointed the wrong way on a 1 way road. Put me in site 2 and I couldn’t get level. The campground looks secluded but it very close to highway, and train tracks. It was very noisy.

Nice 12 site park. Do not come under powered on your tow vehicle (fairly steep hills). We are 45’ and fit is site 1 only. We had to pull partially out, then turn around and go out the in, as we couldn’t make the turns. Very tight on a big rig. Husband says we aren’t coming back to this one. However it was a nice stay. This would be an awesome spot in the spring or fall.

A small gem far away from any military base. Super clean amenities including comfort station. Lakeside beach access with grilling. Small staff so if they don’t answer the phone, they WILL call you back, even if you don’t leave a message. I only gave them 4 stars because they don’t have sewage hook-up at site but do offer a dump station. Highly recommend this little campground.

Called for reservations but no one answered the phone so we stopped by at 5:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. Someone in the office but did not come to the door. Found an open site but while we were backing in the camp host came by and said we couldn’t stay because you must make reservations in advance. She stated computer system shuts down at 5 and they cannot take money or allow anyone to stay that is not in the computer system even though there were several sites open and unreserved. So much for Navy hospitality

Beautiful park. Great marina and swim area.
Park and roads built in 1950s
(trucks with duallies hang off both sides).
So one lane narrow.
RV sites built for SMALL 25 foot or less trailers.
Cabins look great from the outside.
(Did not get a tour inside one)

We spent 4 nights in the park. The cabins and Marina must get most of the budget, the RV park could use some love. Most spaces were very narrow (we parked, put down the steps and had two feet of ground before a drop off). Bring flashlights, no lighting in the RV section. Watch your footing, trip and slip hazards all around the sites (sloped ground covered in pine straw, leaves and loose gravel). Narrow roadway in park has crumbling edges, that with hilly, winding road makes maneuvering in and out of some sites a challenge. The bath house was clean. One washer and dryer in the laundry room - no charge to use. Lake was beautiful and free Wi-Fi was good.

Moved from a second rate campground across the lake. Wish I'd have discovered this military recreation facility earlier.
