We are here right now and it is like camping in a dog kennel. We politey asked the dog owners to take care of their barking dogs and we asked the camp host to take care of it. She said she’d call the office and stop the barking but it just goes on and on. Days now. They have gotten loose with the rules. RV’rs have lights that can luminate an entire parking lot just for a tiny sign in front of their camper. We use to stay here often but we’re probably not coming back. It’s a shame.we would call the office ourswlves but we do not want to fight a battle to have a peaceful time. We’ll just leave this review and not come back. Also how does this say it has five stars on the cover page but when you read the reviews, they are almost all are 3 stars or less?

Do not plan on using bathhouse when cold as they are not heated and will freeze you😳. It takes 30 minutes for water in shower to get hot and then only a trickle. There are two entrances to park and if you take wrong be sure you can turn around. We pull a toad and was in trouble as you cannot back up. There are no sewers at site only dump station. The host was not helpful almost rude. But once we got set up it was ok but took a while to calm down.

This park did not live up to the reviews here. Camping area is very steep and hilly. The bathrooms are small, dated and at the top of the hills. No AT&T cell service. The park clearly spent resources on building a patio area for each site and the sites are all very level and flat. There is a museum celebrating Confederate history if you are interested in that. Location is still a long 1hr+ from Atlanta.

We loved everything about this place. Also lot of things to do outside of park. The staff here went above and beyond to help me at this park. Don’t forget to take a 15 minute drive and have some fried green tomatoes. (The actual movie was film here)

Have stayed here twice . There are only two spots that have 50 amp at this time (4/17) . Have free cable and water at all sites , some sites have a grey dump within range of the camp site . There is a dump station on the road out of park. Lots of trees and good views of the lake from most sites. Some sites will allow enough clear sky to see satellite's. Verizon has best service followed by barely useable At&T and there is no t-Mobil here. We stayed in a 44' class A with a toad.
Ps the camp host here are always great!

Very nice place!! Lots to do and see!! Love the elevation over the lake and concrete patio ledge sites. Wish had full hook ups. Very big park with lots of clean space for kids to roam and explore. Better than staying at high falls park but since both parks are close and there are cool history and hiking opportunities to explore at both its a bonus they are nearby!! Cant go wrong here!!

Very nice level gravel sites with fire rings, picnic tables, cable television, water and electric. No full hookups. Clean shower houses with washers available. Good interior roads. Verizon LTE coverage was two to three bars. $34.00 a night.

This place was amazing. It had an old CCC building that housed an idian spring fountain. You can taste the water but it has a sulfer taste. Then there are the wonderful camp sites about a mile away from the CCC and rock water area. Real nice and a lot hills. We road the bikes all over the place and got a real work out. Locals use the water rock area as a hang out place. Its real nice. Bring your water shoes though. It can have glass in the water. We biked the 3.5 mile multi use trail all the way to Dauset Trails Nature Center. WOW is all I can say. A little wildlife park out in the middle of no where. It was a nice place to see after trucking through woods up and down hills. Bring plenty of water and snacks though. They do not have snacks at Dauset. Over all this place was great. We stayed an extra day we liked it so much.
