Called day of to reserve during trip from Richmond to south Florida. Decided to stay in park instead of just rest stop. It芒鈧劉s not far off I-95 but I will say it is close to the paper mill. As we took exit and drove we passed through that smell. Winds were out of south so you couldn芒鈧劉t smell in park, I wouldn芒鈧劉t stay if the wind was from the north. Yeah it芒鈧劉s that bad. We arrived at 10pm and they had our info on board. Site 15. All sites have full hook-ups and a concrete pad so your steps from RV don芒鈧劉t have dirt landing. Place had more to offer than I expected. They have some really nice mountain bike trails that they keep up. We enjoyed the nature walk with kids and dog. Yes they raise bunnies here so you can see and feed a bunch of cute rabbits. All in all a very nice park that staff takes pride in keeping nice. We would stay again for a night.

The camp sites were well separated and it was quite quiet through out our stay. Strange online booking wherein you book online, but that is effectively a request. They confirm but only assign you a site on arrival- you cannot choose it Our campsite consisted of a hard packed sand "driveway" and a concrete pad next to it. We had a full hookup site including cable supposedly- it did not work so cannot comment on it. Also did not use facilities so no comment. Bunnies added entertainment to a walk around the grounds. Funny little buggers, will come to you when you call - probably assuming you will provide food, which they quite happily take a carrot out of your fingers. Cell: only used my Visible / mofi4500 and it was strong enough for Sling and laptop. About 8m up and 8 meg down Close to both St Simons and Jekyll Islands. There were plenty of grocery stores nearby including Wally World, target, samsclub and restaurants.

We stayed here for 10 days, fantastic campground! Wide, long sites. Plenty of room for our 28芒鈧劉 trailer & the 250 with room for another vehicle. Sites are private as underbrush has been left for privacy. The folks in the office are amazingly kind and the campground is spotless. The restrooms & showers were spotless as well. Sand roads are great as vehicles are quiet going down road. Wildlife is everywhere including the domestic rabbits that roam the park. Park is far from the highway and very quiet. Occasionally you芒鈧劉ll get an odd smell from the paper mill across the River, but it芒鈧劉s not distracting at all. You have fresh & salt water fishing here. Boat dock, playground and walking paths. Bring the bike as well. About an hour to Okefenokee swamp & Jacksonville, FL. 30 minutes to Jekyll & St. Simon芒鈧劉s islands. TONS of things to do in this area.

This must be one of GA芒鈧劉s best kept secrets! We loved it here! Very little vegetation was removed to create sites. There芒鈧劉s enough growth between sites to provide excellent privacy. The only sounds we heard were cicadas. No music, voices, etc. A peacefully tranquil place this is! The only BIG word of caution is to bring mosquito repellent. Those things are as big as humming birds and will suck a pint of blood in a heart beat. We were disappointed at not being able to sit outside or enjoy the fire pit. Off and dryer sheets helped some but we were out only when necessary and the mosquitos still found us. There are a plethora of bunnies that have no fear. So fun to watch. The office芒鈧劉s huge front porch has 2 chain-hung porch swings and 2 huge fans. This place is a hidden treasure; a true gem.

Nothing to complain about thus the 5-star rating. It is what I would call a very nice municipal Park. It is clean, well maintained, safe and delivers what is advertised. NO clue about the amenities, restrooms, showers, wifi, etc., we do not use them. Yes, we would stay again.

Friendly staff, safe, gated after hours and shaded. Close to the interstate and the other reviews covered the amenities.

We stayed on site 95. We paid $44.40 for the site for one night. The area is gated and you need a code to get in after hours. Mostly sand and crusted shell roads and sites. Our site 95 was 5芒鈧 out of level side to side. The sites are nice because you do have a concrete pad so when it gets wet you have a place they is not mud. Full hookups with good water pressure. The cable was good with 60 channels. Weather channel and HGTV. Trash and dump site on leaving. Great pier for fishing off. A man caught a spotted trout about 18芒鈧 long. Checking was simple and a person lead us to our campsite. Did not check bathrooms or laundry room. Tree nuts fell on camper all the time including night but did not seem to keep us awake. We would consider staying here again.

Stayed four nights in early Jan 2020. 40芒鈧劉 5th wheel toy hauler. Very large pull thru site with enough room for two toy haulers. All sites are tree lined and shrubs giving some privacy. Concrete slab, picnic table and fire place. Plenty of shade. Sites are clean compacted gravel that is well maintained and kept clean by staff. Overall a very will maintained and clean campground. Very friendly staff. Full hookups. Laundry on site. Boat ramp and picnicking on site. Fire wood for sale and delivered to your site. After hours access to the campground is by gate code key pad. Close to Jekyll Is. & St Simons Is.

Very nice. Huge pull thru site, maybe 100芒鈧劉 long site 83. Trees between sites provides privacy. Free Wifi and we could stream movies. Free cable with 50+ channels. Can watch fishing and the tides from the marina. Access gate closes at 7 then need a gate code. Of course the bunnies are also fun to see while walking the park.
